    Hello Envoys!

With the new forum here and most of the guides missing, we are in need of new guides with all the new content included.

We are very thankful for you collaboration, but we feel the need to stablish three simple rules to follow before posting your guide:

    - Do not post the same guide twice. Check the old threads to check if the guide is already done. If it is and you think you have something to add, please either link their guide in yours or reply directly to the old guide.

    - Please ensure that your guide is substantial enough and has most of the core aspects complete, if not yet finished before posting.

    - Troll guides will get locked/deleted.

    Greetings envoys!

We are aware that you may be receiving messages from accounts with GM or GS tags on their name as well as random users with messages giving you official-looking links. These are phishing attempts that will only lead to your account being stolen.

Please remember that Aeria GSs and GMs will NEVER ask you for your account information such as emails and passwords. If you have already submitted the form by accident, change your email and password on the Aeria Games website ASAP.

Here's a list of the current official forum administrators and moderators!

How can I know if someone is an official forum staff?

Make sure to visit their profile first and foremost to double check and see if they have an actual tag on their profile.

A real forum staff account should have a tag like this:

    rh98jn.png

A fake account will try to use tags such as {GM}, {GS}, [GM], [GS] etc. on their profile name such as this:

DO NOT trust any links you receive from anyone who asks you to fill out a form that requires your Aeria account's e-mail address or password even if it's saying that you will get "free items" or "will be part of the GS/GM team". All of these events are officially announced on the official Aura Kingdom website and AKUS Discord.

Make sure to double check the website link on your URL bar.

The real Aeria Games website will always have a secured protocol.

Pick depending on what you need, and if you have an questions feel free to dm me on discord Kres#0068 (All of these links are recent and from the envoy simulator on Aura Kingdom Database)

The purpose of this guide was to show how different envoys can be made depending on what you need. For the classes that have multiple envoys, it's more of a pick and choose for what you need. A lot of envoys are the difference between needing and not needing crit dmg tiles depending on how geared you are. Most of these (except shuriken because it has approximately 1 viable subclass include no class specific envoys unless the ulti is used as a tile skip i.e Gunslinger and Lancer) Again, if you have questions feel free to DM me on here or on Discord.

Hello, I probably keep this until spurry, hime, yilia, white (but but he love his saenai), or nadia actually make one. I wrote just because they doesnt make one, i m lazeh lazeh bard, for mean time i just put it here since nobody to write them.

Going this path might require more funding (more expensive DPS gear), but we can assure you it is more fun than tank bard way, you might have to move often (avoid AOE, although you always should avoid but somehow many tank bard like to eat dmg), become jumping kangaroo, more prone to death than tanky builds. But you can finish off boss when you timed your skills well even your team mates being 1 shot-ed, help clearing annoying spawns fast (like PP 2nd boss and OW AT final boss), one single holy notes entire party full HP, carry an undergeared party.

A DPS bard can change to support style with click of mastery, a tank bard could not do the other way round since tank gear gives pathetic offensive ability. But bear in mind you might need funding and movement skill (get yourself out of danger).

    A. Damage mechanics

Defensively, there are a few points to tell here

    - Elemental armor is important in PVE when you have problem on fortification budget, 25% dmg reduction from elemental skills, either get +9 elemental set or 5star +15-20 armor with dark element. For PVP, violent is best.

    - dmg taken SS are DR1 against player is not useful at least for wizards

    - Cap DEF is a must, safe to aim 18k DEF in combat DEF @LV65 and 21k DEF for LV75+

Offensively, there are 6 criteria to determine your efficient damage, zeal, skill rotations, elemental damage, detail damage, raw stats, debuffs

    1. Detail dmg

    (in dark blue)

    - Highlighted sentence are from detailed DMG%, THEY ARE IMPORTANT when you dealt with higher end dungeons like dragons and h_ell mode which is 90% reduction.

    - example of detail dmg source - DMG+2 SS, sniper set, boss dmg from devourer set, ambusher set.

    - There are different set of dungeon damage reduction, but the two that really concern your PVE game play are sky tower 70% and dragon/pryoclastic/temperous/he ll dungeons 90%.

Example of a PVE boss in dragons (90% reduction), ignoring other parameters (like element, DEF)

Say you deal 20k dmg with 10% boss dmg, my dmg is (1-0.9+0.1)x20k = 4k dmg

If i hit the same boss with 12k dmg with 30% boss dmg, my dmg is (1-0.9+0.3) x 12k = 4.8k dmg

From above example, you can see, even i have inferior raw dmg (12k vs 20k), but my boss dmg is high, i dealt more ACTUAL DMG than you.

    2. Elemental dmg

    (In red)

    - elemental dmg starts having better effect especially when your boss dmg pass about 60%. Also boss dmg have diminishing effect as u stack more and more.

    - Source are LV 65 elemental trophies from fishing, LV 65/85 elemental acc set from DP and drops

    - Often they taking slot with detail dmg like subweapon and head costume card so consideration must be made.

So, how to choose? say it is elemental subweapon 30% or 10% boss dmg subweapon, say i m in 90% reduction dungeon

If existing i got 10% element, 20% boss dmg

    if i wield 30% element, my dmg will be (1-0.9+0.2)x(1.4) = 0.42

if i wield 10% boss dmg, my dmg will be (1-0.9+0.3)x (1.1) = 0.44 (better)

If existing i got 10% element, 60% boss dmg

if i wield 30% element, my dmg will be (1-0.9+0.6)x(1.4) = 0.98 (better)

    if i wield 10% boss dmg, my dmg will be (1-0.9+0.7)x (1.1) = 0.88

If existing i got 50% element, 20% boss dmg

    if i wield 30% element, my dmg will be (1-0.9+0.2)x(1.8 ) = 0.54

if i wield 10% boss dmg, my dmg will be (1-0.9+0.3)x (1.5) = 0.60 (better)

Further reading for boss dmg and elemental dmg: Lionstaring chart

    3. Zeal

    - Zeal counted as x% of your DMG dealt, counted crit dmg, so better your total output by all factors, stronger your zeal, and each zeal proc act independent of other zeal proc, only dependent on your DMG dealt and RNGesus. Please note that even u use AOE, it seems the zeal proc are on individual target, not collectively zeal to all.

    - Example of zeal is evil eagle scythe, staff of stars, flokja set, dual drive weapon cards

    4. skill rotations

    - Enough SPD is important for wizards to perform their strongest skills rotation efficiently, also how you chain the skills in the GCD and jump casting

    - Skills rotations shall be discussed in Section J, game play, so i only include a little on AA speed here. This cap is not written in anywhere.

A little section for Auto Atk Speed (AA)

AA is good for most class who jump cast (maybe except bow which difficult to jump cast), the formula is (weapon spd, in wiz case is 2.2s)(1-AA%) which cap at 0.5 (2 hit per sec). for bard case, it is 75%, the AA% is count by SPD + AA spd from SS, envoy, eido buff, etc). Normally cap SPD + 25% AA spd eido like Eligos/ yarnaros/ bel chan is enough.

    5. Raw stats

    - Offensive raw stats, SPD, CRIT are important, choosing your gear without severely handicap your stats is a must to dish out good dmg.

    - SPD is to maintain your skill rotation smoothness, yes or no you should have minimum SPD

    - CRIT is important to dish out crit dmg, at least 60% since you doesnt have traps eveytime (unless you are gun sub)

    - low crit high crit dmg or vice versa is not efficient, you must have high enough crit dmg also, at least 200%

    - after having kind amount of SPD CRIT and crit dmg, then you can up ur raw DMG without sacrificing item 1-4 above.

    5. Debuffs

    - For cap for -DEF% reduction, many players stated that it observed to be caps at -50% (like white and leon senpai), u can get from break defense, storm curse mastery, etc

    - However, flat DEF debuff, like ice elemental burst are not boundary found, therefore use your ice elemental burst wisely if important. Our ice elemental burst is best flat -DEF in game, come with problem of RNG and boss animation toooooooooo freaking long

Note: debuffs are highly class/subclass specific so in gearing section, you couldnt consider them.

Dummy verison: work for boss dmg at least 60% (more is better), then work for elemental dmg (at least you have to get elemental trophy), if you have spare gold, go for zeal. While doing so, dun get your crit below 50% (70% is recommended) and cap SPD when you are LV 70+ in dungeon.

    B. Stats

    Build yourself like a DPS

(i swap move speed emblem and dmg emblem, i using dmg emblem in SS)

SPD then CRIT, patch up with DMG once you satisfy both SPD n CRIT

DMG - attack stat, it is your raw damage, more it is, better your basic heal/ dmg rate.

CRIT - crit rate, a tomato bard should have at least 65% crit rate (not in combat) IMO, more is better but it depends on how OCD you are. it capped at 100%

SPD - it affect cooldown of your skills, I think minimum 43% in combat (your holy note CD is 3.2s). it capped at 50%

DEF then HP, EVA hmm, not that useful

HP - HP amount reach 0 = death, it is recommended that you get HP after u get your DEF

DEF - important stat, you should have 60%+ for LV 60-65, and 75% (18k DEF LV 65-70, 21k for LV 70+ in combat). it capped at 75%.

EVA - evasion TBH is a myth without near capping it, even you capped, it is only 50% efficiency in boss fight, you can up it after u have reasonable HP/DEF. It capped at 95%. Your skill to evade AOE has more meaning than EVA.

CRIT DMG - it capped at 300%, with counted bonus crit dmg, crit dmg reduction, main hand crit dmg bonus. Crit heal do get bonus from CRIT DMG, so you are hit hard heal hard if you are crit bard. Crit heal do get crit dmg bonus from players but not dmg bonus agianst player.

HEAL - directly multiply with your raw heal amount, but if you can do 90k holy note in a crit, getting too much heal% is optional. I would just leave it as it be.

ACC - accuracy are mainly for PVP, recommended to get at least 40-50+ if you wanna PVP, it capped at 75%

Move spd - move speed is very good, minimum 150%+ in dungeon (5 envoy 5 back costume 15 extreme spd 10 bard buff 15 mastery, not yet count in noripan leaf, imperial armor or emblem), it improve your ability to move away from danger or rush targets , it is recommended to be able to pass 200% with swapping, in many times i abbr it as "mspd"

There is a hidden stat which affect your auto-attack spd (AA SPD), when you jump casting, the AA SPD will affect how frequent your AA fly to target. for bards you only need 75% for 2 hit per sec (cap of AA SPD), which meant you only need 25% AA SPD eido + cap SPD (50%), = 75% already.

    C. Subclass

There are several criteria in consideration on subclass that you preferred with, but i would think on what benefits (debuffs, buffs) first, and how quick you can release those skills and back into your main bard skills. Personally think that sorc and holysword will be better.

    D. Envoy

Most important tiles are both storm song mastery tile, both holy note tile, angelic choir, energized healing, the rest are depends on your style, pick DPS tiles as possible.

TBH, efficient immune system do help a lot in PVP, but in PVE, it still helpful but cost is at least 4 tiles on for less beneficial tiles (you have to give or take between some tiles).

    sorc sub

    Bard/sorc (semi-supportive

    More offensive (PVE)

    Wizard sub

    Bard/wiz (need more input)

    Bow sub

    Bard/bow (need more input)

    Other sub (like HS, shuri)

    Bard/others

    E.Eidolon

Since you gonna jump cast, 25% AA SPD eido will be your priority. there are 2 series you can go, the crit eido or damage eido. pretty much if you lack crit, crit eido is worth better than damage eido.

For crit eido series, bel chandra who gives 25% AA SPD +15% crit with skills to improve crit dmg is nice. alternatively, Zaahir with 25% AA SPD +15% crit and a stun is also useful, but personally think bel chan is better.

For damage eido series, Eligos is a good choice since it gives 25% AA SPD +24% dmg with -flat def shred.

In late game where you have massive crit rate, Eligos is better, however, if you lack of crit, you can use bel chan or zaahir.

kotonoha/ vermillion/ Tsubaki is useful in some bosses where you need massive HP leech, like TF 1st boss.

For starters, pick anyone you like, since most likely you not gonna use them after get a better eido.

Remember to do eidolon prayer, the stat might be little at first, but when you accumulate enough of those, it is equivalent to a free set of armor set. Just feed them with items required.

Also, feed them emblem to get star buffs

    F. Gear

Gear like DPS class will do, you can get high crit high crit dmg which amplify your crit heal and also DPS rate, do not forget your detail/elemental damage, minimum 60% up boss dmg without bard mechanic, try to get at least elemental trophies.

In summary for current end meta (LV 85+) i would say

    - over 80% crit (100% is better)

    - cap SPD in dungeon (50%)

    - at least 250 up CRIT DMG against boss (cap 300%)

    - minimum 60% boss dmg idle (not in combat or food)

    - at least swap elemental trophies (20% ele dmg)

    - Cap DEF, 21k in dungeon

    - as much HP as you can

Wait, i doesnt mention CRIT DMG? it is crucial to crit heal yet it is not in list? because when you aim for crit dmg against boss, you only have 110% (60% from full sniper, 25% from subweapon, 25% from crit dmg card) from non-crit dmg source, mean you should have near 190% crit dmg from various crit dmg source (like 30% from envoy, 10% blinding, 130% base, 42% SS, HS or wiz buff, etc)

However, I not very recommend bards to build DPS early (like pre-LV 70) unless you are experienced/ veterans players and have some sort of funding. Start from half tank before become DPS-crit bard.

    Weapon

    Pre 70

    Use anything you like

    LV 70-80

Dual LV 70 crafted weapons is better choice for me, Dragon crystal harp paired with demon crystal grimmoire (if you a sorc sub). advantage of crafted here is you can insert useful core inside while yellow graded harp cant.

    Post LV 80

Double orange weapon no contest, because you need pierce stat from LV 80 orange weapon.

For subweapon, you can get the respective LV 70 craft weapon, or alternately you also get be like other DPS, use elemental subweapon swap.

Remember enchant with 5% move speed card o0, if you can afford move speed - dual drive (zeal), use it

    What core to use?

Destroyer if you wanna solo attempt, -DEF is gold there

Protector for -DMG debuff, still useful in party

Deadly is good to get more crit heal, since boss crit dmg from weapon/ sniper will not have effect on crit heal.

Nocturnal is optional but if u have it, it is advantage to prevent death, but normally u do not need it that much.

The rest are mats for your star evolve TBH

For weapon element, Personal preference is holy, some might think storm is better due to spammable, but they also have lower coeff, dmg and travel slower.

    Armor

    Pre 70

    Use anything you like

    LV 70-80

Full sniper is the best, kind amount of stats and star'ed HP, if not, use mixture of sniper bottom with devourer top or use ancient top/ sniper btm

Galen top offer kind amount of stats and also 8% detail dmg, but sniper still better choice because imperial run run.

    Post LV 80

While sniper will still satisfy your need if u poor, you can choose upgrade Lordwrath top first

Ofc full lordwrath still better choice just the cost that matters.

Do not hesitate to use imperial core over other cores, because run run is AK life. For card slots, DMG card is fine.

    Accessory

    Pre 60

    Use anything you like

    LV 60-70

If you have existing flokja set, do not hesitate to use them. If you doesnt, you can use "Gekasso's eye of insanity, Saint Hale's divine band and Talamud's infernal whisper" set (abbr as GST set). and wait for blinding set at LV 70.

    LV 70-80

LV 70 blinding reflection set with imperial core is the better choice. You can run faster, get desired stats (SPD DMG CRIT) and also have CDMG. Just abit down side is lack HP. (where you might need to invest on acc fort)

Alternatively you also can build elemental accessory rotation like other DPS, but make sure you have bag slots for that.

    Post LV 80

While elemental acc still relevant in this point, but if you need the imperial core craft set, Paragon set is better and replacement to blinding, while frost set is second choice, for the other 2 is just filler for RNG.

    Trophy

    Pre 60

    Use anything you like

    LV 60-70

I would recommend use double madalnak claw (orange and green) to get better crit rate from them, also doesnt deal bad DPS from them.

At LV 65, you can choose to swap elemental trophies and orange/green madalnak swap.

    Post LV 70

Guzigla's bloodied tooth (orange) + elemental trophies, I think this is better setup because

both trophies benefits all your attacks in form of detail dmg and elemental damage

By default the orange guzigla will be on 2nd slot, you will swap for first slot. For each elemental bosses you should swap for respective elemental trophies, while for violent boss, you can use green guzigla (for the poor) or fenrir dog tag (for the rich), unless you are ultimate OCD otherwise i dun think dog tag worth the price tag.

Remember to craft a imperial noripan leaf to swap when you need that move speed~

    My lazeh skillbar

    Dark/ storm / lightning / ice / fire / holy / violent boss / run run~

    Food

    whitekite wrote:

food is almost always royal jelly tea + either yellow teppanyaki (not capped spd) or yellow ice cream (already capped spd)

Best food according to white areTeppanyaki or ice cream with royal jelly tea, They are zeal food

    costume

adv DMG card for all except head you have no DMG card, only HP card for head

    Recommended card slot

    Back - move speed

head - boss dmg, you can swap with elite dmg if you wanna clear mob faster, or you can choose ele swap if your boss dmg exceed 70% without head card.

    face - ballad

weapon - storm song, maybe prepare gaia revival card for swapping

costume - not much choice, crit dmg against boss/ elites probably

    G.Masteries

General: -DEF storm song, -DEF%, even you cant dmg well as full support but at least -DEF helps most of the time, for DPS bard, this is your core skills. Unless, you are confident party will cap 50% -DEF%, where you use move speed bliss harmony.

Advanced: zeal, who doesnt love zeal?

DEF: extreme speed, move speed, run is love, run is life

advanced: DMG ballad, self explanatory, if u r wiz sub probably u might want -DEF% storm curse if your team cannot reach 50% DEF debuff, it might worth more than 3-4% dmg ballad in some situations.

Tactical: usually sabotage or break defense, or others if your team need them

Special: best defense if you need it, DMG to DEF; if you are in the case of able to cap DEF without best defense, you can consider move speed song of wind for moar sanic (sorc sub only), or deep blue for more damage.

    H.Bard mechanic

The top long slender bar is the bard mechanic bar, it has 3 red note on left and green on right. This means you can stack 3 stacks of each note max, more stack on red notes results on more DMG bonus (3 stack are DMG+12% in detailed damage), while more green notes adding the radius of your healing AOE.

When red note charged, your dmg skills ability increased as "tune of march" shown, and it is added to your detailed damage (your bonus dmg against player/elite/boss), this feature is one of the reason for bard sub to take place. they make the 3 stack of red note to empower their main skill damage, since this note are affect the detailed damage.

When green note charged, your heal skills are improved as "tune of harmony" shown, it makes your single target heal, heal harmony and holy note become AOE. you can go hit bosses without needing to switch target to party members, just run alongside them and cast heal.

To charge your "tune of march", you need bard healing skills (ballad, heal tone, heal harmony, holy note), to charge your "tune of harmony", you need bard atk skills (bliss harmony, storm song, ambient drone). due to charge one side will use up one note on the other side, so practically it would be 3 notes total at most

    Old post: bard mechanic

    J.Class Mastery

They consist of 2 path, you can swap between with 10 min CD. Each tree have 50 levels and you can get bonus stats points as the SS shown, it is recommended to make both LV 50. when lvl 30+, you get bonus effect as below shows.

    - Up move speed first (15 points)

    - then up elemental resistance (15 points)

    - then crit dmg (20 points)

    - then the rest is your choice, pick what you lacking, i would recommend crit dmg next, or acc if you PVP often (unless you capped it already)

    Left path: Healing path

    - Unique skill: Phoenix Rising, 45 sec base CD, long CD, can prevent one time death within 5s duration and perform healing, good to cast just before deadly AOE

    - Healing harmony cast time -50% (twice as fast load) and DMG+5% (detail dmg) for 10s whn lv 30+

    - Healing tones cast time - 50% (twice as fast load) and dmg taken -5% for 10s whn lv30+

    - Passive buff, HP +6%, move speed +4% when lv30+

Left path is more to support bard, you can take as crit healer, but if you going offensive route, go for right path.

    Right path: Damage path

    - Unique skill: String of Punishment, 8 sec base CD, can be charged to get more burst

    - Storm song DMG + 20% and its AOE add more 3m radius.

    - Bliss harmony DMG+ 15% and gives a buff where next atk dmg+20%, either consumed first or last 20s, however this buff can be consumed by Auto atk

    - Passive buff, DMG+15% (raw dmg), skill cooldown-8% when lv30+

Right path is very good for DPS bard. Jump cast storm song/ bliss harmony, you enjoy the benefit. Your DPS rate is not negligible when your geared in offensive way, this is how right path do, improve your overall DPS rate.

    K.Game play

    DPS - holy note

Since right path improve your storm song and bliss harmony DPS rate, also you can jump cast both damage skills, with holy note also jump cast-able. Hence, there is no reason to be tanky bard who stays as ballad- heal tone. Main job for bard is still healing, but your DPS rate is not insignificant especially you are jump casting.

Holy note is the only direct heal that without cast bar. When you have cast bar like healing harmony and heal tone, the problem is you must be stand on ground when the cast bar loads, also, within that 1-1.5s (the cast bar is the loading bar like blue bar which loads when you cast above 2 skills), your member probably kiss the floor already, so i not recommend to use heal tone and harmony in dire time, use holy note instead, at least u drag enough HP for them to noct leech and save themselves (if not 1 hit KO). The cast bar is really bad, because you cannot jump cast or move cast.

If your storm song at (1), bliss harmony at (2), holy note at (3), ballad at (4), it could be 444 (3 stack ballad before start combat) then 1213 123 1234 123 123 1234 123 123 1234 - repeat. Of course, in actual you doesnt do perfect 1234 thing like robot, you need to watch over the situation too, but my point is, use bard atk skill to charge heal note, when heal note full, cast heal, then dps again until your holy note CD full, then holy note again. If your team is kinda good, just go DPS mode with ballad still on every 15s, treat this as basic manner of a bard.

If you find yourself out of range, you can always use AD to charge a green note. It does not have any restriction of skills, as long as your objective of charge note is fulfilled.

    Jump cast, back strike

In dungeons, sometimes stand still and heal/attack is dangerous, and in most skills, there are animation time that makes you stationary when animation loaded. It is dangerous in most cases, therefore, you need jump cast skills.

In practice, jump casting consist of "jump" first then "skills" on mid air (skill at early or near end of jump). when you able to move when you cast skills that makes you stationary (like ambient drone and holy note), mean your jump cast is success. It is recommended to jump evade the AOE instead of tank them, in higher dungeons, most cases are 1 hit KO or 2 hit KO.

Of course, like DPS classes, back strike offer 1.5x more dmg, which is very good for DPS rate, as a bard, catching back strike also meant you are healing DPS who also know back strike as well, also it is easy to evade frontal AOE of bosses.

jumpcast of bard/HS (by kitkitty) as pure DPS

As noted by him, the storm song GCD of 0.6s have the similarity as his tachi, therefore it is possible to utilize this trick, trade 1AA to be a storm song attack. This require you to perform skill right after the moment you jump, and use the second skill before the jump arc end (~1s), then repeat.

Please note that this rotation is more for solo attempt or purely DPS way; if you are in party mode, please do add in healing/ support skills in case the party really need it.

Charged Dry Bones > Storm Song + Blissful > Storm Song + Smiting > Storm Song + Blissful > Storm Song + Thunderstrike > Storm Song + Blissful.

Repeat dry bones and ballad for dmg% when needed. If you are other subclass, just perform storm song + blissful with similar jump cast pattern

aditional reading: oni video for tachi

    Healing

Ballad - AOE HoT, use it whenever you can, it might not much compare to heals but it is passive

Healing harmony - single target heal with cast bar, it is highest heal (twice of holy note) but u need to wait cast bar finish running, when move while cast will cancel skills. IMO it only can be used when you need big heal and target can survive for 2s, it can become AOE when u have green bard mechanic note and even heal non-party members

Healing tones - AOE heal with cast bar, it is AOE heal but u need to wait cast bar finish running, when move while cast will cancel skills. wouldnt heal non-party members.

Holy notes - single target heal without cast bar, have slight delay but still faster than other 2 cast bar heals, it can become AOE when u have green bard mechanic note and even heal non-party members. it can be jump casted and moves so it is primary heal skill for DPS bard.

    Bard/sorc game play

For most of the time, you will end up dps with bard skills (for the bard mechanic), however, there are some additional skills where it is beneficial to your play style. Normally you will go 3 stack ballad first, then opening storm song (if with -DEF storm song mastery) or bliss harmony (if you use bliss harmony move speed), then proceed with your DPS/heal cycle.

Totem - Ambient drone crowd control, use them when you need to control mobs

Reju mantra, use it whn you need to clear debuff.

Song of winds move speed mastery at special mastery slot, use it when you can, it add move speed to your party.

If you afford to take bard -DEF storm song mastery, u can use bliss harmony move speed mastery at attack mastery slot.

    Bard/HS game play

Compare to conventional Bard/sorc build, this sub offer different perspective of support mainly in terms of Smiting edge and dry bones.

You can use HS jump to jump around to shorten distance, when you charge and jump, you can stun targets within AOE too

Dry bones gives flat -DEF when charged so i usually use it when open the boss, it is crucial to most parties especially party with low DPS

Smite edge gives 10% detail dmg for 6s with long CD (for subclass), hence if you see other HS main/sub used this skill, count 6s and put your own smite edge. It doesnt need to charge to get the buff. this skill also benefit from bard envoy "child of sun" (boost holy attack)

Usually i will play as HS jump (easier to get backstrike when you jump to melee range) - charged dry bones - put smite edge if nobody does - heal/ DPS as you like.

If you afford to take bard -DEF storm song mastery, u can use bliss harmony move speed mastery at attack mastery slot.

    Bard/Shuri game play

    Spam razor wind!

Your main subweapon skill will be Razor wind, it is OP, can trigger multiple zeals/ debuffs, and it has -target move speed which is handful sometimes. it provide you with firepower

Shuriken storm can provide detail DMG + 10% for 8s to self upon use. you can use it to open a battle. Shuriken toss flat -def is good (despite it is small amount if not stacked up) but possibly you wouldnt have much chance stack it up due to long CD

Hi, I am IllyaYuki from Phoenix (formally Siren), This wizard explanation is more general to popular subs than specific sub. Myself is currently a wiz/bard

    A. Wizards

    B. Subclass choices

    C. Damage mechanics

    D. Stats

    E. Envoy

    F. Masteries

    G. Secret Stones

    H. Eidolons

    I. Gear pairing

    J. Game play

    Note:-

    - I am not a good wiz, at least from gear POV (I m lazy)

    - Special effects are more valuable than raw damage, you can have +0 but set effect must be there, with decent survivability.

    - This TW guide provide useful information about wizards, you can take it as reference if you know Chinese. :D

    - If there are something missing or incorrect info, please tell me, thanks in advance.

    A. Wizards

The wizards is a ranged DPS who are expert in crowd control. You have your spammable ice storm medium AOE immobilize, your slowing icy curse, stunning instant thunder and elemental burst against 4 elements. Their main strength are ranged AOE, free 25% elemental dmg and CC.

However as a wizard, you should prepared your mind that you are squishy, therefore, positioning skills for wizard are far more important and other class. To be frank, your DPS rate would not even reach level of LancerGOD and shuriGOD with similar gear, we are only middle tier, maybe upper middle.

    B. Subclass choices

    C. Damage mechanics

AA is good for most class who jump cast (maybe except bow which difficult to jump cast), the formula is (weapon spd, in wiz case is 2.2s)(1-AA%) which cap at 0.5 (2 hit per sec). for wiz case, it is 78%, the AA% is count by SPD + AA spd from SS, envoy, eido buff, etc), so, cap it or not?

    D. Stats

The stats points are in the char window (C), the stats points are meant for you to add on your stats AFTER your gear, they are neither ratio or anything, jus top up after you considered your gear and buff. There are a lot of consideration about it since your party members are varied, unless you are in permanent static party.

(sorry for putting an old pic but it doesnt matter anyway)

DMG - attack stat, it is your raw damage, multiplied with your skill modifier (with level modifier) would be your basic damage in section C.

CRIT - crit rate, since most wizards are going for SPD route, recommend to add here after SPD, if you can get 70%+ (counted envoy path), u can choose to invest on DMG because crit will have diminishing effect once you have high crit. it capped at 100%

SPD - it affect cooldown of your skills, which it is important in AK wizards, dun get below 25% when you LV 60+. It will boosted to more SPD as you get them. it capped at 50%

Dummy version: cap SPD (with buffs/food), crit 70%+, the rest raw DMG

HP - HP amount reach 0 = death, it is recommended that you get HP after u get your DEF

DEF - important stat, normally it should be about 60%+ for LV 60ish, get at least75% (or 21k DEF after LV 75), and cap it wherever you can, with buff food and everything. it capped at 80%.

EVA - evasion is largely useless for wizard, you are too squishy to make EVA any good as current content. It capped at 95%, also, the boss bonus accuracy enough to make your EVA splat and rekt.

Dummy version: cap DEF (26k at LV 75+) with food whatever, the rest HP, EVA is largely useless other than PVP. Remember you move speed at least 140% unbuff, recommended 190%+ with swapping move speed gear like imperial blinding and imperial noripan leaf and no bard buff

CRIT DMG - it capped at 400% (exclusively for wizard), with counted bonus crit dmg, crit dmg reduction, main hand crit dmg bonus, so player who playing PVP either have low crit or having overcap CRIT DMG. in PVE, you should able to get 330-350 total cdmg against boss with DPS gear without much effort.

HEAL - technically they are not very useful for wizards, only useful for bards.

ACC - accuracy are mainly for PVP, recommended to get at least 40-50+ if you wanna PVP, it capped at 75%

Move spd - very good in any case, if can, at least 140%+ in dungeon, it improve your ability to move away from danger or rush targets , it is recommended to pass 180% unbuff when u running LV 75+ dungeon with high geared players, in many times i abbr it as "mspd" (all mspd i stated are without buff and food)

    Offensive/ defensive tab

    - detail dmg and elemental dmg already explained in section C

    - for dmg reduction, read the DR1-5 part in section C

    - Personally thinks dmg reduction is optional as current content since you have more stuff like DMG and elemental DMG to work with.

Dummy version, get dmg bonus against boss at least 60%+, and as much as respective elemental DMG as possible.

There are 2 unwritten caps in AK

    - auto atk (AA) spd capped at 2 hit per sec, or 78% for wizards, it is (SPD %+ addition atk spd%),

    - the -DEF debuff caps at 50%. overcapped DEF will cover the debuff first, but net -DEF is 50%, however, the flat -DEF still works after 50% cap reached

    E. Envoy

There are only a few envoy path you recommended to take (not in sequence)

    - flame shock and ice shock (DPS proc, it actually procs alot)

    - fleet foot

    - patch up the rest with dmg and crit/crit dmg envoy

    - ice storm (if you have extra points, especially if you are left path user)

You might need to modify envoy path for Astrology if u r dedicated right path mastery player. (Sample of envoy path below are for left mastery user only, also i not very recommend using right path since left path is more superior in current meta)

You can manipulate your envoy to suit your own use but basic stuff from above should be included. basically you wouldnt able to use combo skill that much.

    Wiz envoy (general wizard envoy)

    wiz envoy

    Wiz/sorc envoy

Thanks to convenient envoy arrangement, you can pick some combo skills between

    wiz/sorc

    F. Masteries

General skills - Bard and gun sub should use their respective -DEF mastery (storm song and bombardment), probably dragon slash DOT for holy sword sub (since you gonna use it for -DEF), for others, suit anything you like

attack spec - zeal offer best return among others, stronger your attack ability, more powerful they are

advanced skills - storm curse -DEF mastery, -DEF debuff is a good stuff.

Defense spec - extreme speed for dungeons (run and dodge), no need to explain much since EVA cannot help you evade, but move speed works in most AOE

Tactical spec - ideally it should be discussed among party members, priority should be sabotage (-DMG%) and break defense (-DEF%)

Special skills - the best defense, get orange best defense from encyclopedia with 70k DP and 60 VV medals, it is the best mastery for wizard ATM. If you can cap DEF without best defense, go for deep blue, for the detail dmg or capo for EVA wizard (but first thing is you must cap DEF without best defense).

    G. Secret Stones

For type of Secret stones (abbr as SS) for armor, other than meteor shot SS (glove, SS on left in above picture) which you need to be indigo type (+radius of meteor AOE) and ice storm for head slot, the rest you can be messed up, as long as you get the desired stats.

For weapon SS, no doubt lava SS (crit +2% DMG) + 7% stones is the best but it is expensive now. If you cannot afford it, use zephyr (DMG+5%) as your alternate choice. For the rest, you can use them as upgrade mats safely. For PVP, you can consider tempest SS (HP 10, dmg tkn 2).

For stat inside the SS, there are 2 stats that can be randomized. ONE OF THE STATS has to be DMG+2%, explanation see "damage mechanics" at section C. For the other stats, personally i choose elemental dmg (i swear i m not lazy to roll again), reason see section C too. Another good choice is SPD+2% (give AA SPD +1%) or regular SPD +2% for cap AA build (but only need 3% AA SPD for wiz).

    Further reading: secret stones guide

    H. Eidolons

For starter, it doesnt matter much but if u insist on the best. you should get Alessa (this pony has good star buff, 3 star is 25% Auto atk spd and 15% to double attack aka zeal).

For first time player, eidolon you could work for is bel chandra (3 star 25% AA spd 15% crit), Eligos (3 star buff 24% dmg 25% auto atk spd) or Yarnaros (3 star buff 24% dmg 25% auto atk spd), with Eligos are superior in late game

If you rich enough for Hel 3 star with re-rolled stat (AA spd 25%, 45 ice dmg), she is good. If you are rich, you can reroll into 45 ice skill dmg + 25 AA spd or elemental dmg + 25 AA spd, if not, you can use Eligos original buff

Also, get a HP leech Eido ready, especially in some boss like Twilight Forest 1st boss, example of recommended HP leech eido are kotonoha, Tsubaki and Vermillion (others HP leech is not AOE)

Remember feed them with crest to get star buffs.

For eidolon prayer, clear as much as you can, it give creepy flat stat at first but when it accumulate enough, it gives you a lot of stats, practically have a free set of armor for every char in your account

    I. Gear pairing

Gear switch are beneficial as you going into higher end dungeon (example like elemental trophy), therefore, do not hesitate to get multiple pieces on same slot which benefits you. As I said in section C, you need balance between possible stats instead of blindly stack up one stats.

In any case, armor should be minimum +9, and main weapon is your priority to fortify beyond +9 (of course, you need at least +9 main weapon first), highly recommend to +15 your main weapon, for subweapon, it is optional since you rarely use it.

    1. Weapons

    Pre-LV 60

Pretty much use anything that come to you, that period is very fast. After you complete the harvey old man quest at dem mine (abt LV 45), dun leave just yet, go Navea (687, 313) phantom scavenger, buy 32 pieces and go Analisa or any forging NPC to star evolve it to 5 star cheap weap. For blue nocturnal weapon, go Helonia coast weapon merchant, buy subweapon and roll for nocturnal, it helps you in the long run.

    LV 60-70

A little slow from precedence leveling but still relatively fast, hence i just recommend for easier setup, craft them if got time, if not, just use green staff is fine. Most likely you wouldnt do much dungeon other than solo dungeons which have lower demand of quality weapon

Arcane staff + nocturnal blue weapon should be sufficient for this level

    LV 70-80

Still relatively fast compare to higher levels, however, you should not spend too much gold here, an ample staff is sufficient for this level. You only need to start picky for LV 80+ weapon

    1. Forbidden Crystal staff + Elemental blue subweapon

    2. Forbidden Crystal staff + LV 70 crafted weapon

Option 1 is better in offensive ability, if you can get your boss dmg at least 60 up without boss dmg subweapon. However keep in mind it is tedious to keep (as your inventory might burst). Keep in mind either your blue subweapon or arcane staff must be nocturnal. Just a downside is keeping elemental dmg subweapon less desired in LV 75+ H e l l mode

Option 2 are simple and straight forward. However you will lose a bit on elemental dmg. but gained some stats and also stability of the gear.

    Core pairing

For option 2, you need to pair with cores, there are 2 options, and yes nocturnal is a HUGE BONUS.

    A. noct staff + destroyer/protector subweapon - you can play switch according to your team and habit. it is flexible, you can even swap with IA/WA subweapons for 50% elemental dmg, but also risking more gold for high % noct staff.

    B. destroyer or protector staff + noct subweapon - you only need to spend once for noct core book, your staff is cheaper to seek for high %. however, your option and flexiblity are limited.

In any case, no shocking or breaking core please, they will disrupt mob gathering and boss time stun (especially for less firepower party)

P/S: alternatively, you can use bet on RNG with orange reroll to reroll the stats and %, but only valid for LV 80+ weapons, use those reroll in lower weapons is kinda waste.

    Weapon swapping

Some subs are having good offhand which provide nocturnal yellow, which it gives additional options to swap when you in need of leech HP.

    - Turin Excecutioners (Gun sub) - Yellow LV 45 gun with nocturnal

    - Nazrudin Shimmering scale pistol (Gun sub) - Nazrudin gun with nocturnal and fire element dmg bonus

    - Audy's passion (Necro sub) - Yellow LV 45 scythe with zeal + nocturnal

    LV 80+

No doubt, double crafted Ghoodoon weapon, because PEN stats. no discussion when it comes to end game dungeon especially H E L L mode in future. Core pairing choice are in LV 70-80 section

    - Ghoodoon staff + Ghoodoon subweapon (Destroyer or protector + nocturnal pairing)

When you reach LV 85, you will have choice between below two

    - Ghoodoon staff + Ghoodoon subweapon (Destroyer or protector + nocturnal pairing)

    - Ice Death's door staff + nocturnal ghoodoon subweapon

Option 1 are inherited from LV 80, easier to access for most players due to more supply for green staff and core production than a good ice death door staff, and difference between option 1 and 2 is rather small.

Option 2 has better boost in ice storm orientated skill rotation, you might need to invest some cost for good weapon and star fort them, it is better if your party -DEF is sufficient already without the help of destroyer core.

Flame element still dominates for wizard staff if you use the right path often (meteor spam). However if you consistently going for left path (where most wiz gonna follow this path), ice staff is better mainly due to frost territory.

What card to use? i recommend you prioritise Move spd card then dual drive (zeal) card since phoenix gonna be running kingdom~ (idk about chimera, but in phoenix most parties are 140% is basic, 170% is normal, some parties you only can barely catch behind even you have 190%)

    2. Armors

    Pre-LV 60

Pretty much use anything that come to you, that period is very fast, save gold is your priority.

    LV 60-70

    1 ~ Full devourer set

Already explained boss dmg in section C, other choice are inferior to this, you should make some effort to fortify armor and star evolve them to get decent survivability.

If you are totally new player without carry, i would say you use titan top devourer bottom before you grow enough to live with full devourer.

    70-80

    1 ~ Full sniper (detail dmg + 20, boss crit dmg 60)

Good stuff here is you can get nice stats from fort and their bonus, However you need to star evolve them to get good chunk of HP, also they are detail DMG to all units instead of solely to boss. Downside is expensive like h~ell. they give all round stats but a little behind in detail dmg. You should able to use elemental acc/ subweapon without prob since you should have enough speed for it by this.

2 ~ Top devourer bottom sniper (boss dmg 15, detail dmg 12, boss crit dmg 30)

This is somewhat intermediate between setup 1 and 2, I just view this as intermediate, neither good or bad. More like transition when you get sniper btm first

    LV80+

The problem with this region is Lordwrath set is very expensive, therefore while full sniper is still pretty much can cater for your needs, work for weapon first before turn eyes on armor set.

1 ~ Top lordwrath bottom sniper

Since Lordwrath is expensive, so in any case, just work for top set first. Although lordwrath btm do improve your stat, but the actual gain is small compare to cost.

    2 ~ Full sniper

More or less a poor player choice, since 60k gold per lordwrath piece is very high (June 2016 phoenix price), not mention the cost of crafting and RNG/ core.

    3 ~ Full lordwrath

Choice of the rich, it provide best performance out of 3 with costliest option. Just additional stats and 2 detail dmg, 5 boss crit dmg compare to full sniper. Your choice.

Regardless of those options, try to get imperial core if you using crafted sets, sole reason is server gonna be running man~ also remember to get them as a set to enjoy their benefits

    3. accessories and trophies

    Pre-LV 60

Pretty much use anything that come to you, that period is very fast

    LV 60-65

I would recommend to use "Gekasso's eye of insanity, Saint Hale's divine band and Talamud's infernal whisper" set (abbr as GST set). Sole reason is they are DPS accessory.

For trophies, double madolnak claw (green and orange), the procs are directly add to DETAIL DAMAGE % (bonus dmg against boss/player/elite) which if you crit on those dmg, your output is improved when it proc'ed.

    LV 65-70

There are a few choices for accessory set

1 ~ Soaring king set (i call it flokja SPD set), it gives around 10% SPD even for LV 72, and included with a zeal proc. If you unable to afford or lazy to farm, i recommend use option 1 and wait for LV 70 blinding. It is worthwhile in PVP though.

2 ~ Elemental acc rotation, for this, you not only need IA fire set, also WA, taloc, ST........for all sets, or at least prominent dark, lightning and storm set. It also an inventory burst option. It works better than other option but provided you can use them without SPD problem.

For trophies, there are several choice as well

1~ double madolnak claw (green and orange), still easiest option,

2 ~ madolnak green/orange switch + elemental trophies, boosting elemental dmg and madolnak proc, this is better setup than option 1

    LV 70-80

    1 ~ Blinding reflection set LV70 / Paragon set LV 80

This set is very good when go against elite units, as well as provide you a space for imperial core. They are very good in running dungeon (can put imperial core), with elite dmg which good against mobs, however, still inferior to elemental acc set when against elemental boss.

2 ~ Soaring king set (i call it flokja SPD set), ok, keep it if u have them. Also still good against violent boss and PVP.

3 ~ Elemental acc rotation, hmm same reason as LV 65-70, you must have decent SPD (like get SPD buff from others or sniper set SPD)(better choice if you could cope with SPD)

    For trophies,

Guzigla's bloodied tooth (orange) + elemental trophies, I think this is better setup because both trophies benefits all your attacks in form of detail dmg and elemental damage.

Fenrir dog tag/ Guzigla green is works fine (slightly better than titan and madolnak orange especially in short fight or proc-less condition) for violent targets

    LV 80+

    1 ~ Blinding reflection set LV70 / Paragon set LV 80

This set is very good when go against elite units, as well as provide you a space for imperial core. Paragon set is an upgrade of Blinding set but cost also an upgrade They are very good in running dungeon (can put imperial core), with elite dmg which good against mobs, however, still inferior to elemental acc set when against elemental boss.

2 ~ Elemental acc rotation, hmm same reason as LV 65-70, you must have decent SPD (like get SPD buff from others or sniper set SPD)(better choice if you could cope with SPD)

Note: Arcane frost set worth or not? for now, paragon/blinding set are more superior, but in future, there are flat stat deduction dungeon exist, which if you does not get enough stats points from your gear, you will experience severe problem in those dungeons, if your stats is generally low, arcane frost can help compensate SPD problem without lacking too much CRIT, so worth or not? I couldnt give definite answer for this now.

    For trophies,

Guzigla's bloodied tooth (orange) + elemental trophies, I think this is better setup because both trophies benefits all your attacks in form of detail dmg and elemental damage.

You can use Fenrir dog tag/ Guzigla green for violent targets, Time travel code for violent boss

    My lazeh skillbar

    Dark/ storm/ lighting/ ice/ fire/ holy/ violent/ run run zoom zoom

Regardless of what level you are, you should keep an imperial noripan leaf trophy (LV 40 trophy with total 8% move speed if imperial version) for swapping (same slot as ele trophy) since some parties are running man~

Also try to get imperial version whenever is possible, since running kingdom rules applies~

    4. costumes and enchant cards

My recommendation for current costumes and enchant cards are as below (get respective bonus/reduction against player card if you are doing PVP)

Head: HP + 2 costume, adv vitality (HP) card, boss dmg +10% card

(unless you achieve 60-70% without boss dmg card, you can go for elemental +18% card switch, or elite +10% card for switching (although elite monster are so little anyway))

Face: DMG+2 costume, adv atk (DMG) card, ice storm card, when weapon specialization comes, this ice storm has increasingly importance.

Body: DMG+2 costume, adv atk (DMG) card, crit dmg against boss card, when wizard buff patch comes (400% crit dmg cap exclusively for wizards), 25% crit dmg is goood

Ornament: DMG+2 costume, adv atk (DMG) card, extreme spd card (5% mspd, good to run)

Weapon: DMG+2 costume, adv atk (DMG) card, reju prayer card

(it is good if you get a costume, put in Gaia revive HP card, switch when you revive

    someone, especially when in combat)

    5. Gaia emblem

white - 100k eido points, blue - 300k eido points, green - 900k eido points, orange - 1.5 mil eido points

The above figures are how much eido points required to able to wield graded emblem. Aim for 900k if you does have heart to being hardcore, if not, 300k doesnt do that bad. how many is 900k eido points? 15 x LV 70 full feed 2 star eido/ or 16.5x LV 60 full feed 2 star eido. When you can farm Temple of Eidolon party mode regularly, go for 900k points is matter of time.

I would recommend you get 2 sets of emblem, one for maximized DMG (yes it give detail dmg), another for move speed. use the first one when bossing, use the second for running/ b2b. For the first, if you have heart, get maximized DMG + maximized elemental dmg, switch between. for the move speed emblem, just get any other stat, although u might prefer some DMG.

(pls note that stats below are for green emblem, i not yet check for orange yet)

    6. Food

Note: this food section are obsolete (valid until LV 80 patch), will update later if i got time

Best food according to whitekite areTeppanyaki or ice cream with royal jelly tea, They are zeal food

You can use stardust float derivatives and steak derivatives if your gear is not defensive enough

    J. Game play

    1. Basic sKill set

    Wizard skills

Fireball- basic wizard flame skill, with stun mastery. but i recommend do not use stun mastery maybe except PVP (this is i have no comment)

Icy curse - it can be added DOT with mastery, it has slow on target, part of rotation for ice rotation wizard

Ice storm - You main DPS skill, especially for ice wizards (left path), it is immobilize skill, added DOT Frost territory by left weapon mastery.

Storm curse - Storm element linear line AOE, it is easier miss than others, please mind your position when you use it. their -DEF mastery is good for solo attempt

Reju prayer - your single target heal and cleanse, also 25% elemental boost (ice fire thunder storm +25% elemental dmg, too bad no holy and dark boost *cries*) as timed buff. However, in case you really need cleanse, you should save it for cleanse rather than elemental boost.

Meteor shot - your main DPS skill, especially for fire wizards (right path). large AOE over distance, clean and clear. but it is a risk for miss due to movement of target. Also their 1.2s GCD/animation is abit long for some circumference

Energy conflux - 20% crit dmg, depends on your team to use buffs

Elemental Burst - using wiz skills having chance to charge elemental crest, it has different effect as in your crest description. Use it tactically can boost your burst dmg, dun too rely on them since crest charge are random. there are 2 crest which is most useful, the ice - DEF and fire + DMG, use them tactically, especially ice is god, highest flat -DEF in game.

For detail description of skills, further reading wizard

    2. Weapon mastery

Left path: ice storm and reju prayer

    - Unique skill: Demonic radiance, 12 sec base CD, long CD, quite strong but not impressive

    - ice storm produce DOT with frost territory on ground, last 6 sec (0.4 coefficient, do take account on detail/ele dmg, can get nocturnal effect, and frost territory is independent)

    - Reju prayer CD is -10% (yes, u can chain them with cap SPD for free 25% ele dmg for ice fire storm lightning) with -8% dmg taken, will become -12% whn LV 30+

    - Passive buff, dmg taken -4%, will become -6% whn lvl 30+

Left path often regarded as PVE path due to reju prayer ele dmg and also ice storm DOT makes jump cast ice wizard with shorter GCD makes sense.

The ice storm frost territory can trigger nocturnal effect (you can leech HP with frost territory), if multiple wizards used this territory on same target, it count as separate frost territory (lets say got 2 wizards used territory, wizard A and wizard B will get ticks as their own dps, as long as target is in area)

Right path: charge meteor + telekinesis (static instant thunder)

    - Unique skill: Solar detonation, 12 sec base CD, long CD, quite strong but not impressive

    - Charge meteor is akin to warbow, more charge more burst dmg, 50% more half charge, 120% more full charge, 1with downside of jump cast problem, with 4% extra dmg from meteor, become 6% for lvl 30+

    - Static instant thunder, your instant thunder no longer zoom the front, like telekinesis XD.

    - Pssive buff, crit rate +7%, will become 9% whn LV 30+

Right path are more suit to PVP bcoz of offensive ability and charge meteor burst, also static telekinesis, makes you safer (backstrike or not is different story), but one thing you need to aware is, you can jump cast cancel the charge, which makes your AA still can released

    3. Basic DPS rotation

Weapon mastery do change the rotation. refer weapon mastery for more information. while right path wizard still major in flame (fireball, meteor), the left path will be ice (ice storm, icy curse)

Left path wizard, interesting part in this path is the ice storm DoT field, if you intend to use this path, train to revolve around target to maximize their time inside the ice field, the ice field do take your weapon element bonus. basic rotation should be storm curse - ice storm - mix with other skill between

Right path wizard, since this path empower meteor, your meteor should be major DPS source. Charge meteor deal impressive dmg, but come with cost of lack AA during charge period, but it is possible to cancel charge by using jump, i would say it is up to you to judge is charging have more benefit or does not charge worth more depend on situation. Also, the charging you can hold until your finger tired as long as target have not dead and not out of range. Presume you gonna use flame staff, use meteor - fireball/ storm curse rotation paired with instant thunder when in danger.

Another important skills you need to use is reju prayer for 4 elemental buffs, use it before start boss if cleanse is not essential to counter lethal debuffs.

Elemental burst is very important in improving wizard DPS and overall efficiency especially ice and fire crest, see section 4 for more details. You should time them well to maximize their debuff duration and ability.

Only use storm curse when you need that -DEF% debuff from mastery (like in solo attempt)

Worried about meteor miss? run in "z" style can reduce the miss.

    4. Back strikes, kiting, Jump cast

Back strike offer more damage, by1.5x, hence by doing back striking is having more dps output, you can either go behind boss at your own risk or ask the "tanker" (the one who hold aggro other than you, not really meant guardian as for now) turn the boss face. another benefit of this back strike is you hardly being hit by line AOE (most of the boss), when you fight in melee position, you can swap to backside easily by combining with jump cast.

When kiting, make sure you include icy curse into rotation or having high move speed like 150%+ in dungeon, also run in "z" style to avoid your meteor become empty shells barrage, kiting is useful when overall party are inadequate geared/coordinated, but not useful anymore when your party is bursting.

Jump casting is for release auto-attack (AA) of your weapons which improve your overall DPS rate, we using jump cast to skip animation, not only for AA, but also the stationary standing problems, since stationary can be dangerous in most cases. Sometimes AA are more prominent in DPS rate than your meteor.

In practice, jump casting consist of "jump" first then "skills" on beginning or near end of jump arc (by math tutor desp). when you able to move when you cast skills that makes you stationary (like fireball and icy curse), mean your jump cast is success.

    5. Time the stun, cleanse, crowd control and elemental burst

Fortunately, boss can be stunned; unfortunately, after boss being stunned, they have 30s immunity (same rules applies on immobilize and sleep). Hence, my point here is do not simply stun bosses, only stun when necessary to intercept boss harmful skills (especially for undergeared party). Same rules applies to totem.

For cleanse, unless it is necessary to keep yourself from harmful debuff, otherwise you just use your prayer for elemental dmg.

Crowd control is strength of wizard, you have AOE immobilize (ice storm), AOE stun (instant thunder, although u need zap), slow (icy curse). use them well to save yourself.

Time your elemental burst. Lengthy boss animation time always a trouble to wizzy. There are 2 stuff you can do, carry a batch of mobs and kill them while boss animation is loading, so you have more chance to get crest while killing. Or time the elemental burst as possible. When the "lights" is up, it last 15s, so try to elemental burst it just before it off. You only need 3s to stack all 5 ice crest -DEF debuff, time it well to get 5 stack 3s when it spawn.

If can, let someone (someone in party or yourself if you have adequate move speed and vitality) run at front to let boss animation load first.

    6. Wiz/Bard game play

First, you should know about bard mechanic, bard sub is not for self heal only, but the bard mechanic with 12% detail dmg (probably abit jamming to maintain). just 3 heals to stack red note to 3, then maintain it with a single bard heal skill every 12-15s depends on ur timing.

Use storm song -DEF% mastery, it helps a lot especially in solo swept AND party who doesnt know/ not enough -DEF; also the ambient drone can be a timed self centred stun (1-2s) which might useful sometimes . Due to envoy update in nov 2016, it is hard for wiz/bard to get i frame in form of combo skills without sacrifice.

    7. Wiz/sorc game play

Double cleanse (prayer + mantra) is useful sometimes to prevent stacks of harmful debuff on yourself. you can maintain your prayer elemental dmg semi-perm and use ur mantra for cleanse purpose.

Your i frame (frost nova and void storm) is self centred AOE which are one of the best offensive iframe. You can lead the charge with it, you can retaliate in PVP, you can use them gracefully to perform last hit on boss (lol). Use them tactically instead of spam it as your daily skills.

totem is good in collecting mobs, put it on end of luring will collect large amount of mobs if they not dead yet. also it also can intercept boss deadly skills with precision timing (3s loading duh). Also, this is good in PVP

    8. Wiz/gun game play

The frost trap give 50% bonus crit when target is in trap so your crit can stay about 50%, and invest points to something else.

Decoy is useful in undergeared party for 15s or until prey is dead. however, please dun do this when it is not necessary (famous 13F split troll) or party is powerful enough to swept everything in 5s.

bombardment mastery -DEF% is useful if your team not yet have full 50% -DEF% debuff

    8. Wiz/bow game play

Basically most prominent skills for this combo is bless of wind, 30% chance for 50% extra dmg for limited time (enough for boss dead) and long CD.

Corrosive arrow also good in obtain more flat -DEF debuff however it is up to u to cast it or not.

    9. Wiz/necro game play

Not much benefit other than LV 45 gold zeal + noct weapon "Audy Passion" and SPD/DMG buff. You can time bone shield when your team is in danger, or stack shadow barrage -DMG debuff. other than that, is the weapon swapping and buff.

    9. Wiz/HS game play

You can use non-charged divine sunderance as substitute for instant thunder, it is faster.

Dry bones (should be dragon slash, RIP aeria tomato translation) flat -DEF in one charge skills is VERY GOOD to shred target DEF. I would suggest HS sub to use it instead of main class since HS sub might under-fortify their sword, leave Edge-callibur to HS main if they exist.

For Smitter Edge, if there is another HS sub/main to use it, wait 6s and put it, non-charge is fine since u doesnt require charge to get 10% detail DMG buff to self.

    10. Wiz/Shuri game play

Shuriken toss flat -def is good (despite it is small amount if not stacked up) but possibly you wouldnt have much chance stack it up due to long CD. This sub can provide you very good momentarily burst.

    The rest pretty much optional

Hi, we notice that there are a lot of bards who does not utilize the feature of bard mechanics, the bar which consist of 3 red and green notes on left and right. therefore i wish this explanation will help fellow bards in future

    The bard mechanic

When green note charged, your healing skills improved as "tune of harmony shown", For bards, the most important feature of this is YOUR HEAL BECOME AOE ! (except ballad), when your holy note and heal harmony become AOE, you practically does not need to aim anybody to cast heal, what you need to do is run alongside them and cast. So, you can go DPS bosses, and cast holy note in intervals/when party members in danger, without specifically select a member to heal. When your single target heal become AOE, when you dps boss/mob and "select" boss/mob, the single target heal will automatically cast on yourself, when u run alongside them, the AOE will spread to your party members.

To charge your "tune of march", you need bard healing skills (ballad, heal tone, heal harmony, holy note), to charge your "tune of harmony", you need bard atk skills (bliss harmony, storm song, ambient drone). due to charge one side will use up one note on the other side, so practically it would be 3 notes total at most (white senpai noticed notes doesnt consume nor generate whn you in melee range, but i not really recommend to do spartan lol)

The storm song - holy note combo

After the explanation about notes, here comes the storm song - holy note combo explanation. It is highly recommended to get 43-50% SPD upon in battle. When SPD capped, your holy note to be in 2.8s CD, near capping SPD is important because your holy note is main heal in this combo. You ballad duration is 15s, so you only need to refresh ballad WITHIN 15s is fine.

Storm song is a very quick CD bard attack with -DEF mastery, the advantage obviously is the -DEF to boss, which improve overall DPS rate of the team, even you are just a bard.

So please no, do not ballad - heal tone - spam until they tag you as heal bot, those method are obsolete, you will found yourself in hard way in higher end dungeon, especially dragons (lament, landing, siege) which require more mobility to handle well.

If you find yourself out of range, you can always use AD to charge a green note. It does not have any restriction of skills, as long as your objective of charge note is fulfilled.

    The jump casting

In dungeons, sometimes stand still and heal/attack is dangerous, and in most skills, there are animation time that makes you stationary when animation loaded. It is dangerous in most cases, therefore, you need jump cast skills.

In practice, jump casting consist of "jump" first then "skills" on mid air. when you able to move when you cast skills that makes you stationary (like ambient drone and holy note), mean your jump cast is success.

While static jump cast is fine enough, use "A" and "D" to perform side way circle move sometimes better than use "W" and "D", since "D' movement speed is lol. It is fine to being lazy and do not jump cast, but it is recommended to jump evade the AOE.

For other DPS class, jump casting is for release auto-attack (AA) of your weapons, They using them to skip animation, not only for AA, but also the stand stationary problems. Bards do have AA, but our low weapon dmg makes it just optional to count AA in.

Thank you for reading and please put some feedback if you found my words are missing something, Afterall my bard is not my main char :D Enjoy your life as a bard.

edit: Added some dungeons from leon's post, I only personally verified the top half but I assume this blog has reliable numbers

General damage reduction sucks in PVE

    What does it mean?

Example: If a mob has +200% player damage, then the base damage you receive is 300%. With 50% general damage reduction, this is reduced to 250%. This is only a net damage reduction of 16.7%, which is only 1/3 of what you would expect.

Note: ONLY applies to general damage reduction. Boss/elite damage reduction is a separate multiplier and thus far more powerful (and, of course, more restricted).

As you can see from the test data, the supposedly coveted overpowered Inner Strength buff does not actually block a whole lot of damage in the harder dungeons.

    Hello fellow duelists,

I’ve been following philx495’s Overall PvE Duelist Guide, but I'm ready for an upgrade. I searched around but haven't found anything similar to philx495's all in one duelist guide. That being said, this guide, and I use this term very loosely, is intended for anyone looking for Lv.80-89 content. This is still a work in progress, but it’s something for now. I am open to discussion and suggestions and will try to include them in future updates.

With the equipment below, you're aiming to cap SPD, DEF, and CDMG, get as much move speed as you can, get a decent amount of CRIT (about 75%), and maximize DMG. EVA is the lowest priority. This isn't a duelist specific goal. Most other classes, if not all, will follow a similar guideline. It might just be a little easier or harder to cap some stats based on their class specific weapons, envoys, etc.

    Armor

Lordswrath (Dark Element) (Imperial or Bestial Core)

If you're ready to upgrade your Vengeful Sniper Set, this is what you want. Either get recipes from instances loot, other players, or Golden Dragon Points. The armor element should be what you fight against most. In the current content, I think the most common enemy type is dark.

    Weapons

Ghodroon's Supreme Dual Blades (Ice Element) (Destroyer or Deadly Core)

Use ice element for Snowflower. If you don't use it, element doesn't really matter. You don't need Nocturnal, since duelists should already be using the Bat Fang Envoy.

    Accessories

Perfect War, Arcane Frost, or a cheaper alternative like Blinding Reflection (Imperial or Bestial Core)

Perfect War is considered the best but is also the most expensive. Arcane Frost is a little cheaper, but I still consider this set pretty pricey.

    Trophies

Noripan's Emerald Leaf, Guzigla's Bloodied Tooth, and Theory Time Travel Code/the six Lv. 65 elemental trophies (Ancient Fang of the Fire Dragon, Ancient Frozen Skull, Ancient Thunder God's Soul Crystal, Ancient Mask of the Dark Occultist, Ancient Templar's Medal of Honor, Ancient Mask of the Wind Spirit) (Imperial or Bestial Core)

Keep Guzigla's Tooth in the lower trophy slot. The upper one is what you'll be switching. NORIPAN'S EMERALD LEAF MUST BE IMPERIAL. This gives you +8 move speed. Switch to this when not in combat. In combat, use either Time Travel OR the elementals. I read that if you +20 the Time Travel, you don't even need the elementals.

    Gaia Emblem

Offensive DMG + Elemental DMG for all 6 elements, move speed

This is similar to your trophies. Switch around depending on your situation.

    Mount

Not too familiar with these yet. More info later.

This is new. Gold mounts now have stats. I think the most expensive is the +20% resistance. You can also get ones with +30% elemental damage for each type if you’re ok with more switching.

    Pets

I also not very familiar with pets. More info later.

    Costumes

HP for hat. DMG for everything else.

    Secret Stones

Lava Slash Cut for weapon. Crimson, Sunrise, or Azure stones for the rest? Someone help me out with this. 6% CRT DMG and 2% DMG. Spining Balisong for belt, Deadly Wink for helmet, Snowflower for gloves, Cross Slash for boots, and subclass skill for armor (no duelist stone for this).

    Enchantments

Get something with Dual Drive for weapon and DMG for everything else.

For costume, use Snowflower Mastery for weapon (or a more useful subclass mastery), elemental damage for hats (have six hats for all six elements and an extra boss damage hat if you want), Cross Slash Mastery for face, CRIT DMG Against Bosses for Body, and Extreme Speed for back. Don't forget to enchant those with some DMG costume enchantments too.

    Stats

Once you’re all geared up, reset this and cap your speed and defense. I maxed DMG and put the rest in CRIT after that. I also maxed HP and used the rest to overcap DEF. That was to counter the reductions in instances. You can probably put those extra points in EVA I guess. Those are your only two options anyway.

    Masteries

Just try to upgrade to gold versions of everything from phil495.

    Envoy Path

This is what I have. With capped speed and one Deadly Wink, I just spam it on mobs after using Purple Lightning.

    Eidolons

Eligos/Yarnaros is still what I see the consensus is.

    Weapon Mastery

15 move speed, 15 elemental resistance, and whatever you need to cap DEF and SPD. I put the rest of mine in CDMG.

    I. Basics of DPSing

Not going to go into much detail here and just post a few links.

    II. Subclass

My opinions on what each subclass has to offer.

    • Bard: Provides the highest impact damage and self healing. I feel that keeping tunes of march up with ballad is inconvenient for a duelist compared to other classes. You hit harder but I feel that the dps is lower in comparison to a subclass that offers a high amount of SPD. If you're in a party with a gunslinger or bow buff, then I'd choose bard sub.

    • Brawler: Blits for an instant gap closer with a stun, Electrocution if you want a third gap closer, Sparks and Flame for a large aoe if combined with the +5 meters from secret stone, Swift Strike for a flat -DEF, and a CRIT/DMG buff. The level 60 Sky Tower crafted katars give a high amount of HP and a +35% C. DMG proc.

    • Grenadier: CRIT buff, combo skills, ranged stun, -DEF skill, and ranged aoe freeze. The healing crystal has too long of a cooldown to consider being useful in regular dungeon runs. I prefer this sub more in PvP than in PvE.

    • Guardian: 2k+ DEF buff, combo skills, -% DEF with sword slash mastery, and windfury is all this class really has to offer. I wouldn't recommend this as a sub.

    • Gunslinger: Still the best sub overall in my opinion. The class buff gives an insane amount of SPD. You get combo skills and traps. Dark Flare Trap is a strong DoT with a small aoe range, and it can inrease your movement speed by 5/7% if you use the mastery. Frost Trap is a very beneficial to the party and increases the chance for the target to take a critical hit. -% DEF if you use the bombardment mastery. Gunslinger sub is mainly for the SPD buff to help cap or get near cap SPD.

    • NecromancerFrozen Tomb aoe freeze and a weak SPD buff. Terrible sub for any class except maybe Sorcerer or Ronin for combo skills.

    • Ranger: Just like gunslinger you get a nice SPD buff, but weaker by about 1000. The main reason you'd choose ranger over gunslinger is for Blessing of the Winds, 30% chance to do extra damage. It's also convenient to have a ranger buff since there are already so many sub gunslingers these days. A bonus for being ranger sub is that you get 2 aoe skills that are pretty strong when fully charged and more flat -DEF.

    • Ravager: Ravager sub has a very strong combo skill, Violent Bombardment, that is stronger than your regular skill rotation. It also gives a large crit buff for 10 seconds(only when it doesn't kill the target). This sub provides another gap closer, Soaring Slash, and some extra aoe. Round and Round's damage is taken from your duelist weapon's damage, but still doesn't do much without a full rage bar. The rage bar is pretty much useless now that it decays so fast with the recent nerf.

    • Ronin: CRIT buff, stun, and dashes. I don't recommend this as a subclass.

    • Sorcerer: Cleanse, Nightmare Totem, and Soul Draw. Good subclass for soloing or if you want to help support your party for smoother runs.

    • Wizard: +20% CRIT DMG buff, aoe stun Instant Thunder, and aoe freeze Ice Storm.

Any subclass will work. Just choose one you like and make it work for you. If you want the highest possible DPS, then there are obvious choices.

    III. Distributing ATK/DEF Points

    • DMG - All your extra ATK points will go into DMG

    • CRIT - Spend enough points into CRIT until you have at least 60% unbuffed CRIT

    • SPD - When using either Lethal Beast or Sniper bottom setI, invest enough points into SPD until you have 47% self buffed. If you're using the Lions Roar set don't invest any points into SPD.

    • HP - All the extra points after DEF will go into HP

    • DEF - Spend enough points into DEF until you have 75%.

    • EVA - Any extra points left after HP will go into EVA

*You could also aim for at least 80k HP and put the rest of your points into EVA if you can

    IV. Duelist Skills/Rotation

    Boss Rotation:

    Slash Cut>Cross Slash>Deadly Wink

*skip Slash Cut until you need to recast the debuff

You can do Snowflower+Deadly Wink in one jump. You should only do it if you are confident in your jump casting. If you're too slow you'll end up failing and getting stuck in Deadly Wink's animation.

    Rotation for regular mobs:

    Slash Cut>Snowflower>Deadly Wink

*Slash Cut has a 2-meter aoe and is good for reducin DEF on multiple stacked mobs. Snowflower to give yourself more C. DMG for Deadly Wink. Throw in a Dancing Balisong if you need some extra aoe and Deadly Wink is on cool down or if you need an emergency heal. If you have 50% or close to 50% SPD you can spam Deadly Wink during Purple Lightning to clear out mobs more quickly. Make sure to position yourself well and be careful how, when, and if you should jump cast Deadly Wink. When a bunch of mobs are hitting you and you're trying to jump cast, you slightly get hit up higher and that can cause you to fail cast. Fail cast meaning your skill doesn't do damage resulting in no life leeched and probably death.

Be sure to have Somersault and Dancing Balisong ready in case you need to change your rotation to adapt to situations where you're in danger of dying. Though I don't have Balisong on my key bindings anymore, it is still a good skill for an emergency heal in a crowd of mobs.

If you are not jump casting your skills, leave Snowflower out of your rotation. When you do jump cast Snowflower there is no need to jump cast Deadly Wink since the animation for Snowflower is very short and you can cast Deadly Wink before landing. You should jump cast all your skills, because it will allow you to sneak in auto-attacks in between casting your skills increasing your dps. You should also remember to back stab as much as you can unless you pull aggro, then allow your party members to back stab instead.

It is possible to cancel Deadly Wink's animation and cast auto attacks without jumping. I prefer not to do it this way, but you can do it by holding W while casting Deadly Wink. I'd just stick to Jump>Snowflower>Deadly Wink. When jump casting Slash Cut, Cross Slash, and Snowflower you have to do it quickly. If you do it too slow even by a little bit, you will fail cast and do no damage. If you can't do it fast enough because of delays, then wait until you're at the peak of the jump. For Deadly Wink just instantly cast it right after Snowflower. Wait until the peak of your jump if you're casting Deadly Wink without Snowflower combo.

Slash Cut: A great opening skill for reducing the target's DEF. Paired with the Crackling Slash mastery you get an extra DoT. This skill also as a small AoE range of 2 meters.

Cross Slash: One of your highest damaging skills with a powerful DoT. Be sure to maintain 3 stacks of this skill's DoT on bosses.

Somersault: A great mobility skill used to dodge any incoming attacks. With the right timing you can solo most if not all bosses with ease. What you'll mostly be using this skill for is to move through dungeons faster. Combine it with other gap closers and high move speed you faster than players with even more move speed than you. Somersault also gives a nice 8% flat boost to your EVA and 10% DMG, but it only lasts 5 seconds.

Snowflower: A quick nuking skill. It has one of the shortest skill animations in the game. You can pair Snowflower with another skill in one jump while still sneaking in auto attacks. This is also a great skill to use if you lack crit damage for regular mobs with its +75% crit dmg to your next attack.

Purple Lightning: Increases your CRIT by about 7%, move speed by 20%, and -20% damage taken. You can equip The Soulless and Sorrow blades while casting Purple Lightning to increase its duration by 10 seconds(the -20% damage taken duration will not be increased). The 20% move speed is the best part about this skill, so trying to keep Purple Lightning up most of the time is good.

Whirling Dance: This is your gap closer. There's not much use for it except for helping you move through dungeons faster by using it on any mob ahead of you, and using it to bring you straight to the boss.

Deadly Wink: The hardest hitting and best AoE skill you have. Sadly Deadly Wink is a frontal AoE skill. While Purple Lightning is up Deadly Wink gets a decrease in its cool down and a DoT. This Cross Slash and Deadly Wink will be your two most common attacks.

Dancing Balisong: A great AoE that heals you for a fixed amount per target hit. You'll always heal to full in a crowd of mobs using this skill. It's a great AoE skill, but you shouldn't use it too often as it can leave you vulnerable with its long animation. This skill is your biggest AoE and it isn't limited to being a frontal AoE like Deadly Wink is.

    V. Masteries

General Skills: Crackling Slash or a stun/-def mastery for sub skill.

Attack Spec: Zeal is the best dps attack mastery.

Advanced Skills: Lightning Strike to clear mobs quicker. From the Shadows for bosses and if your party can clear mobs fast enough.

    Defense Spec: Extreme Speed

Tactical Spec: Break Defense or Organized Sabotage. Break Defense is useless in the 3 dragon dungeons.

    Special Skills: The Best Defense

    VI. Envoy Path

    Important envoys

Frenzy: 25% chance to deal 50% bonus damage. A must have for DPS.

Bat Fang: Absorb 3% of damage dealt to restore your own HP. Another must have.

Born of Desperation: You gain +30% flat EVA for 8 seconds when your HP drops below 40%. This is a great envoy for when you're doing b2b. EVA helps boost your survivability by a lot and this envoy gives you 30%!

Caustic Venom: 10% chance to inflict the target with a 3 second DoT with a burst of damage at the end. The DoT ticks for a total of 11/16 times. The last tick is about 3-4x stronger than the other ticks. The weaker ticks tick at a rate of .3 seconds and .2 seconds with 34%+ SPD.

Here's a post more focused on how Caustic Venom works by LeonmitchelliGD

This envoy requires you to be at least level 63. Take whatever envoys you want/need for combo skills, more evasion, more hp, or cross slash aoe to help better your play style.

Some example envoys you could use at level 75

    No combo skills

    Duelist/Gunslinger

    Duelist/Ravager

A lot of people seem to think Caustic Venom isn't a great envoy and prefer to take Cross Slash envoys. What most people don't know about Caustic Venom is that it ticks for a total of 15 times within 3 seconds, then there's a burst of damage after. I prefer Caustic Venom over the two Cross Slash envoys. The +2 meter AoE is too small to be that effective and the 6% damage increase is too small. If you want AoE, you can take the two Deadly Wink envoys and spam Deadly Wink while Purple Lightning is up. With the envoys, Purple Lightning, and enough speed you should be able to cast Deadly Wink as soon as the GCD is down.

One more thing, do not take Dream State. It doesn't work very well in pve, and does not work in pvp.

    VII.Eidolons

    Offensive:

Bel-Chandra: +25% normal attack speed, +5% flat crit, +10% flat crit

Yarnaros: +25% normal attack speed, +8% dmg, +16% dmg

Eligos: +25% normal attack speed, +8% dmg, +16% dmg

Zaahir: +25% normal attack speed, +5% flat crit, +10% flat crit

    Defensive:

Serif: -50% crit dmg taken, +10% HP, +20% HP

Aelius: +5% movespeed, +5% flat eva, +10% flat eva

Kotonoha: +5% movespeed, +5% flat eva, +10% flat eva

    VIII. Equipment

Lvl 1-49: Choose any gear you wish to wear it doesn't really matter.

Lvl50-59: For armor you can either choose to use top requiem and bottom aria or the full aria set.

    Lvl 60+:

    Weapons

You'll want a weapon with either holy or ice element. Ice element is best if you are focused on single target. Holy element to increase your AoE damage.

    The Soulless and Sorrow

    Base Damage : 20406

    Base Crit : 572

    Base Speed : 552

    Base Evasion : 821

CRIT +3% Duration of Purple Lightning +10 seconds Every attack has an 8% chance to channel Evil Spirits, which deals bonus Damage

Just get any pair of these blades. Their use will be to swap to them before buffing Purple Lightning to add 10 seconds to its duration, then swap back to your main blades. You don't need to get one with high stats and/or fortify it.

    Demonic Blades

    Base Damage: 19208

    Base Crit: 572

    Base Speed: 552

    Base Evasion: 821

    SPD +3%

    Damage against bosses +10%

Every attack has an 8% chance to deal bonus damage

These will be your blades from level 60-69. Provides 10% boss damage, a bonus damage proc(70% or 80% I forgot), and can be crafted with a destroyer core. There's no point in going for 65 weapons.

    Chillblood Dual Blades

    Base Damage: 25616

    Base Crit: 871

    Base Speed: 679

    Base Evasion: 1239

CRIT DMG against Boss Monsters +25%

DMG dealt to Boss Monsters +10%

One of the best blades available. More affordable to get and 5-star than 75 blades. Craft with a destroyer core.

Dual Blades: Razors of the Demonic Abyss

    Base Damage : 27025

    Base Crit : 929

    Base Speed : 726

    Base Evasion : 1319

DMG +3% for Dual Blades Weapon

    "Deadly Wink" DMG +20%

These are the best blades in game. It boosts your strongest skill's damage by +20% and adds 3% dmg to your primary weapon damage(works the same as your Duelist Mastery in envoy path). I don't recommend these blades unless you can get a 137%+ and 5-star it. In 90% reductions(pretty much all hell modes) both the 70 blades and 75 OW blades are pretty equal. Here's a comparison between the two while soloing Reinhardt in hell mode.

Reinhardt Solo w/ 70 weapon and Reinhardt Solo w/ 75 weapon. Both have destroyers so they're on equal terms. The 70 blades came out slightly faster, but that's just a difference of a zeal proc. Both blades are 130% and 140% 5-star.

    Subclass Weapons

Just choose any sub weapon with 10/12% boss damage.

Also go get yourself a full set of elemental subs. It doesn't take much gold to roll them at the weapon merchant in guild hall. Since you're a duelist you can get away with not having a nocturnal sub making it easier to find yourself elemental subs. But if you want destroyer, then you'll have to invest quite a lot in rolling or buying them from others.

    Bard:

    Brawler:

    Grenadier:

    Guardian:

    Gunslinger:

    Necromancer:

    Ranger:

    Ravager:

    Ronin:

    Sorcerer:

    Wizard:

    Armors (top set)

If you can't at least +15 your devourer I suggest you use this set. Titan tops provides -15% damage taken from bosses, -5% general damage taken, and a great amount of HP and defense.

This is the best top set for dealing damage to bosses until you get your full sniper set. Don't be fooled by stats given by revelations and most of the yellow 65 armors. The 15% boss damage allows Devourer to outdps all other top sets except Ambusher and sniper tops paired with sniper bottoms.

Sniper tops is the best top set for dps when paired with sniper bottoms. Don't go for this set yet until you have your bottom set.

    Armors (bottom set)

To start off at level 60 you should use this set for the 15% boss damage.

The bottom sniper set is the best dps bottom set in the game. Provides 12% detailed damage which applies to all types of enemies and +30% crit damage to bosses. Has a huge amount of DEF, DMG, SPD, and CRIT. The recipes can be quite expensive, but it'll be worth it. Make sure to craft with imperial cores. You can craft 1 imperial of each and use them. Over time you can use orange restructuring solutions to reroll the stats. If you +18/20 you won't need high % DEF rolls to cap DEF. The DMG, CRIT, and SPD stats would matter more, but doesn't mean you can't have both.

    Accessories

Talamund's Infernal Whisper, Gekasso's Eye of Insanity, Saint Hale's Divine Band

    Total set stats:

    Base Damage : 1698

    Base Speed : 598

    Base HP : 2470

    Damage +9%

    Crit Damage +12%

A good and cheap set to start off with.

    Soaring King Set

A.K.A. the Flokja set. This is the best accessory to use against violent bosses. The proc is every critical hit has a 16% chance to deal 70% bonus damage on the next hit. I recommend you don't waste gold on this set and just get it through dragon points or skip it. the level 70 Blinding Reflection set can be just as good with damage enchantment cards and can be crafted with imperial cores. Downside is that it offers no HP. You should mostly be using elemental accessories anyway if you're not too lazy too to swap.

Elemental accessories give +30% damage dealt to x element. Also found in the encyclopedia for dragon points.

    Dark Accessories

    Ice Accessories

    Storm Accessories

    Lightning Accessories

    Flame Accessories

    Holy Accessories

    Blinding Reflection Set

This set is mainly for the move speed. You can craft these accessories with imperial cores for a total of 9% move speed. It's also a good subsitute for Flokja providing some SPD and a lot of CRIT, but no HP. Flokja's zeal is still better for dpsing though. This set can be more viable when accessory fortification comes to our version of Aura Kingdom.

    Trophies

    Malodnak's Sharp Claw

    Use from level 60-69.

    Malodnak's Dark Claw

Your main trophy until you hit level 70. Craft using an imperial core.

    Guzigla's Bloodied Tooth

This will be your main trophy at level 70+. Best dps trophy in game. Craft this trophy with an imperial core.

Elemental trophies can easily be obtained through the encyclopedia with dragons points and Angler's Gold Doubloon from fishing fish kings.

    Flame Trophy

    Ice Trophy

    Dark Trophy

    Storm Trophy

    Holy Trophy

    Lightning Trophy

    Secret Stones

You should have 2% dmg on all your stones. The second stat can be crit dmg, 1% crit rate, % eva, or % HP.

To decide whether you should use thunderous or zephyr stones. Thunderous stones if you find it difficult to get more than 80k hp.

    Enchantment Cards

    IX. Food/Drink

    Pop Rocks:

DEF +1180 and Max HP +10% HP

    Exquisite Honey Nut Drink:

DEF +2083, Max HP +2692, and Max HP +10%

Best level 70+ defensive drink. Only for those that lack DEF.

    Sweet Flower Cake:

DEF +2083, EVA +986, and DMG received -5%

Best level 70+ defensive food. Only for those that lack DEF.

    Royal Jelly Tea:

EVA +530 and 10% chance to deal 90% bonus damage

    Best DPS drink.

    Filet Mignon:

DMG +1603 and 10% chance to deal 90% bonus damage

    Multigrain Toast:

SPD +823 and 10% chance to deal 90% bonus damage

    Condensed Snowdrop Ice Cream:

DMG +3124, CRIT +986, and 10% chance to deal 90% bonus damage

Best level 70+ DPS food if you don't need SPD.

    Top-Class Seafood and Greens Teppanyaki:

SPD +1602, CRIT +986, and 10% chance to deal 90% bonus damage

Best level 70+ DPS food if you need SPD.

    Fish with Mushroom Sauce:

CRIT +1180 and +30% CRIT Damage

Use this food only if you lack crit damage.

Chef's Special Vanilla Fried Pork Cutlet:

CRIT +1602, SPD +986 and CRIT Damage +30%

A better version of the fish fillet. It provides the same amount of crit damage, but more CRIT and it even gives SPD. Use if you lack crit damage.

    Introduction

Throughout my time as a Game Sage, I've focused primarily on in-game support. My intention in becoming a GS was to help people. In doing so, I've received a lot of the same questions, especially from newer players. I've created this "guide" as a means to answer those questions. I feel that the game sometimes does a poor job in explaining how things work or what they are, so hopefully this can provide some insight to certain things.

Main sections covered in this guide are:

    • General Gameplay
    • Character Stats
    • Gear/Equipment
    • Eidolons
    • Costumes
    • Loyalty Points
    • Issues/Bugs
    • Reference List of In-depth Guides

    This guide does NOT:

    • Suggest what class you should play. This is up to what YOU like.
    • Provide detailed class information. This can be found in guides written by veteran players.
    • Answer more advanced questions that are encountered towards end-game.

Information will be updated as things change with future patches. If you have any suggestions or I've made any typos/mistakes, let me know and I'll fix them.

    Patch 33, May 10th

    by GM Abenthy

    -----

Hey, listen up! There’s news for you!

Do you remember that Chronicle Researcher Parilla at Navea? Her team of scientists was working on a special chapter of Gaia-chronicle and you won’t believe what they found!

They came across a strong force and looked closer for its origin but all of a sudden, a lightning storm hit them with incredible speed. Scared, they backed away from the flashes, from which a mysterious man appeared. Quietly, he whispered: "My name shall be remembered as the <Armed God of War> Tyr!"

The difficulty of some dungeons has been reduced. The affected dungeons are: Titan’s Root, Cadilla Felwood and Frozenlea Plains (team & hell mode).

In those very same dungeons (Titan’s Root, Cadilla Felwood and Frozenlea Plains) you can now receive Lv70 Unrefined Armor Box.

I guess you remember when you first saw them? Back in the Lv50 and Lv55 dungeons. Same as then you’ll get a random part of orange armor - just without its Armor Core!

Now, let's get to what probably many of you have been waiting for:

The needed EXP for Lv 68-89 has been reduced. Yaaay! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

And if that wasn't enough: Here they come, the new Mirabelle quests!

Just as usual, players can accept these quests at Mirabelle on every map she is on.

There are only a few requirements that you have to meet: You must have finished the main quest on all existing maps until Sunhunter's Vale and your character level has to be between Lv81 and Lv85.

Additionally, there will be a new daily quest at Desolate Valley at Patrol Leader Curtis (X:487, Y:156). Yay, even more free EXP for you!

And last but not least, the EXP you receive from daily quests (Lv45-80 Daily Field Quest, Dimensional Hall mission and produce related request) will be adjusted.

    Event

Eeny, meeny, miny, moe! A new rabbit has been pulled out of the hat for you.. wait.. No, that's not quite it! There will be a new event in gaia-chronicle that will enable you to get a cute penguin. And this little guy will only be there for a limited time, so better hurry up and catch your own Orobus ~ I bet your friends will be jealous!

    Other

    - The option “Refuse to ride mount together” has been added. It can be activated in System Settings → Functions → Interactive Settings to refuse invitations for a ride with your partner.

    - Quest Lv.72 Abyssal Flames in which you get an item you have to activate in Infernal Abyss. It can now be finished in solo as well as in team mode.

    - The Guild dungeon now resets after each server maintenance.

    - There’s a new loading screen!

    - The Dressing Room and the Archive have beend updated.

    - Some text errors and bugs have been fixed.

    Known Issues

    • The server time has changed due to new location of the servers. The PvP schedule etc. will be adjusted.
    • Starting the launcher for the first time after the virtualization causes a false "Maintenance" pop-up to appear. Restarting the launcher will solve this issue. If however you use Steam:
    • open AK's folder, open the file 'connect.ini' and change the IP to: 195.60.208.35 (Example: Server=195.60.208.35,6545)

Finally, we thank you all for your patience during the long maintenance! Today's maintenance also replaces tomorrow's maintenance. The next weekly maintenance is scheduled for 7th December 2016.

    Cheers!

    • Sky Tower Location error after Sky Realm (Player can't party teleport or warp into GH/Navea).

Caused by players afking in Sky Realm and being automatically kicked by the system when time expires.

    • One of the Guardian Knight's quests reads "Card Duel" required. Actually PvP 1v1 duel required.

(There is another quest that actually does require Card Duels, with same wording.)

    • Paragon Table's blank. Quick fix: Click another tab (Loyalty Shop) then back to reload it.

    Hello!

Not very much changed with today's maintenance but we got some tweaks and the Fantasy Vouchers you've all be asking about is finally available!

    Bug Fixes:

It appears that (at least some) of the Launcher errors have been fixed. Please report in this thread if you're still having issues patching / downloading new content.

The EXP curve for level 40-65 has been changed

It's now easier to get through these levels to reach the endgame that Aura Kingdom is famous for. If you're currently level 40-65 you might notice that you'll magically gain a level or two on your next EXP gain. PvPers hanging on to that level 59 going to be mad, yas.

    FANTASY VOUCHERS! Yaaas!

You'll mainly get them by purchasing Fortune Bags but ALWAYS make sure to read the description before purchasing anything in hope of receiving them Fantasy Vouchers - it should always be written in the description.

The Item Mall has been updated

You're now able to buy and gift a lot more costumes directly in the revamped Item Mall.

    Yas. Best regards,

GM Adrivian and your Aura Kingdom Team

Continuing the Shadow Knight Storyline Arc

The fight against the Shadow Knight is coming to an end; come discover the last quest against your arch-enemy in this epic finale.

Will the Shadow Knight win? Will he rejoin the Templars? Or will you be his downfall? You’ll discover it all in this quest!

Note: You will have to have finished all of the previous zones prior to accessing the first story arc of Aura Kingdom. You will have to be a minimum of level 72.

Like most main quests, these quests will give you:

    -- Experience

    -- Gold

    -- Blue Fortification Scrolls

New Dungeons: Otherworld Deep’s Cavern & Candeo Core

You’ve waited, and now it arrives…

Come visit the new dungeons, the Otherworld instances of Deep’s Cavern and Candeo Core!

You can access these instances starting from level 70 and from these associated maps:

-- Otherworld Deep’s Cavern is located in Triatio Highlands.

-- Otherworld Candeo Core is located in Candeo Marsh.

    Otherworld Deep’s Cavern:

    • Level Range: Level 70+
    • Entry Conditions: Minimum Level 70
    • Entries: Solo (x1)
    • Solo Challenge Mode (x1)
    • Party Mode (x1)
    • HeII Mode (x1)

    Otherworld Candeo Core:

    • Level Range: Level 70+
    • Entry Conditions: Minimum Level 70
    • Entries: Solo (x1)
    • Solo Challenge Mode (x1)
    • Party Mode (x1)
    • HeII Mode (x1)

Come fight against Argus and Asheara to have a chance of obtaining prizes containing enchantments, level 75 equipment, level 70 formulas and more!

Each boss has a chance to drop a level 75 Elite Legendary Weapon:

Zaunna: Quelkulan Staff (Wizard) / Dragonfang Reaper (Scythe)

Adracei: Demonic Nightwalker (Gunslinger) / Holy Metaphoric Code (Sorcerer)

Argus: Dynastic Cannon (Grenadier) / Soul Requiuem Harp (Bard)

Lestaro: Scorching Rune Katars (Brawler) / Dual Blades: Razors of the Demonic Abyss (Duelist)

Toto: Righteous Bow (Warbow) / Six Wings: Heavenly Sword and Shield (Guardian)

Asheara: Ethereal Roseblade (Tachi) / Beast King Decapitator (Ravager)

Beware, Kaiser Zeta has a chance of appearing in Party Mode, and Kusanagi in HeII Mode of these instances. Defeat them in combat and collect their fragments!

    Revamp: Cooking & Gathering

After fishing and archeology, discover two new activities!

    Gathering/Harvesting:

    – Collection of ingredients is now rewarded.

A level system for harvesting is now added to the game!

When harvesting objects in different zones of the game, you get more experience and you unlock a shop located in Navea. This store will offer you various interesting prizes.

    Cooking:

A new way of creating food is now available!

    – Cook with a new mini game to increase your chances of getting orange, purple and gold food.

A level system for cooking and a new method of cooking is available!

In using the cooking system, you will obtain experience and unlock another shop located in Navea.

    How it works:

First you must buy the recipe in Navea from a Cooking Association NPC (735,393). Clicking it will open the minigame, if you have the necessary ingredients on hand. On the screen, ingredients will appear. If you let the correct ingredients pass the red line, the progress bar will rise. If incorrect ingredients touch the red line, then the bar will drop. Click on the incorrect ingredients to remove them from the recipe. Pay attention because when the progress bar advances, the faster the irrelevant ingredients will fill the screen. How far your progress bar reaches during the game determines if you'll get Orange, Purple, or Gold quality cuisine (and maxing it out will earn you an additional one)!

    New: Eidolon Prayer System

    New Eidolon area:

When heading to the Eidolon area (Default N Key), the interface will be completely redesigned for a lot of things.

The prayer system for Eidolons is now available!

The system will simply consist of collecting items your Eidolon requests.

They can be demanding and ask for a lot of specific things (like golden food for example).

Note: There are areas that are intentionally empty; text will be added in future updates.

    For example,

Serif might ask for two pieces of food available in game, but it can also ask for up to four items at the same time.

The items harvested for you Eidolon will allow you to obtain a stat bonus defined in the same manner as titles.

These bonuses are listed at the bottom left of the window. The items they need are shown under their Star Buffs.

Each quest will have its own dialogue with the chosen Eidolon, and each Eidolon will have several quests to complete before being fully satisfied.

    New: 3-Star Eidolons!

New 3 Star Eidolons are arriving! Use Brilliant Evolutionary Beads and their Key of Gaia to evolve them.

Tigerius Caesar: 3 Star Buff: DMG to Lightning targets +15%, Double Down +15%.

Sigrun: 3 Star Buff: -50% CRIT DMG taken, DEF + 15%.

Bahadur: 3 Star Buff: Chance of taking CRIT hits -25%, 3% of DMG inflicted from skills are converted into HP (80% reduced effectiveness against Bosses).

Nazrudin: 3 Star Buff: DMG inflicted to Ice targets +15%, EVA +15 %.

    News for PvP

Level 70 weapons have finally arrived!

For fans of PvP, go to Navea and talk to the NPCs in Navea to buy your new equipment.

This equipment will be available for 2250 Valor coins per weapon.

    Changes in the PvP Arena

    • For Level 60+ Arenas: Increase HP and DEF of the bosses, totems or turrets, depending on the type of arena you are in.

    • Centurion: The points obtained from battling monsters and bosses have been increased, the monster’s points have also increased as well.

    • Adjustment for Excelsior: The respawn time has been lowered to 5 seconds, and will increase to 10 seconds over the course of the battle.

    • Heal percentage in PvP has been increased from 30% to 50%, so that the recovery in PvP is now half of the recovery in PvE.

    Item Mall Update

    • A new item that reduces the cost of crafting/forging will be implemented, it will be usable at the refining NPCs. This will be obtainable in the Item Mall.

    • A new tab will be available in the Item Mall; it will act as a preview window where you may try on all costumes in the IM. Enjoy the new Action Preview window!

    Sky Tower

    • Floor 21:

    ◦ The lag problem that occurs when the boss attacks has been fixed.

    • Floor 22 :

    ◦ Fenrir is now stunned for 6 seconds instead of 3 seconds when players lead him into an ice trap.

    ◦ Fenrir recovers less life when eating a player that has been transformed into a chicken.

    • Floor 23:

    ◦ The egg’s spawn rate is no longer 100% on every player.

    ◦ The eggs spawned no longer inflict DMG to players that are not in the boss room.

    ◦ The timer before the explosion has been increased to 4 seconds.

    • The HP of chests has been greatly increased on every floor.

    • The level 60 quest to access Sky Tower has been simplified.

    • The level 60 zone requirements have also been simplified to allow newer players to access these zones.

    Guild Instance

    • The guild instance can be started with 3 players instead of 5. The goal of this modification is so that small guilds can participate in these instances and benefit from their rewards.

    Bosses and Enemies

    • The Mushroom Titan’s stun in Titan’s Root (Party and HeII mode) has been reduced from 6 seconds to 1 second.

    • The Damage-Over-Time skills of certain monsters have been modified, notably those in the Cadilla Felwood instance.

Cesela now spawns in the solo Temple of the Eidolons! After picking a chest, if you're lucky, watch for her animation and Treasure Charm away!

    Field Mob Modifications

    • Certain field mobs have had their Hit Points adjusted.

    • By 'certain' we mean two. (Baaaaaa.)

    Fishing

    • The Equipment Chests obtained from fishing now have higher NPC resale value.

    • Fishing tokens can now be possessed in multiples of 100 instead of 10.

    System

    • Once you connect, an info bubble will pop up to inform you that you have hidden players, and will allow you to unhide players if you have forgotten to do so.

    • The images used in the ‘card game’ system have now been added.

    • The Loyalty Point cap has been increased to 99,999!

    Medals

    • New medals are now available with the arrival of the level 75 Otherworlds.

    • The gold medal from Otherworlds is now available.

    • The Gold Grand Achievement medal for instances is now available.

    Daily Activity Interface

    • A new tab has been implemented to indicate available instances for your level.

    Bugs and Translations:

    • Source post from the EU version: the infinite loading bug has been fixed.

    • Daily activity log is now compatible with Centurion.

    • The character swap freeze seems to have been resolved.

    • Certain head costume pieces now display properly in party view in the default upper left.

    • You receive the daily login present even while you are in the Tutorial, before arriving in Port Skandia.

    • The Archeology title for level 6 has been corrected.

    • The item Artisanal Chocolate Heart can no longer be obtained, as it was event-specific. Any existing ones will still remain until consumed.

    Known Bugs, Problems and Translations

    • Numerous translations are still inaccurate; we are currently aware of the problem and are working to resolve them.

    • More bugs may have been forgotten/missed, do not hesitate to report them in this thread!

•Various class's Damage-over-Time values on their tooltip don't match the debuff on the target. These include (but aren't limited to) Duelist's Cross Slash, Sorcerer's Demon Seal and Blood Seal, and Necromancer's Purgatory Bats. [Screenshot for Duelist]

Sigrun's 3-star buff isn't functional. Instead of gaining +15% Defence, the player only gains +5 Defence total.

•Diao-chan's on-field text bubbles do not display her speech. [Screenshot]

•Diao-chan's party buff effects do not display. [Screenshot]

•Nazrudin's skill "Vicious Hail" doesn't display the immobilize effect on tooltip, but does upon debuffing an enemy. [Screenshot for Nazrudin]

•Eidolon Prayers sometimes require x25 Flawless Archaeology items. This should be 15. [Unconfirmed.]

    Translation/Localization Errors

•There are numerous translation errors in-game, most of which are compiled here.

•Text on Orange and Gold Restructuring solutions is erroneous. Before this patch, they did not include the word "Rudimentary," and allowed stat values in the range of 110-140% for Gold-Grade items, and 110-130% for Orange-Grade items. [Screenshot]

•Level 70 Intermediate Helmet Enchantment card (green grade) is named as a Necklace enchantment card. However, the detailed tooltip and icon itself are correct. [Screenshot]

•The new Login Gift Box: Bronze claims it contains one Advanced Treasure Charm (Non-Tradable) and one Advanced XP-Card (Non-Tradable). It only contains one Intermediate Treasure Charm (Non-Tradable) and one (average) XP-Card (Non-Tradable).

•Certain True/False questions in the Aura Kingdom Quiz instance have incorrect answers, or are otherwise mis-translated.

    Miscellaneous

•Infinity-loading bug is not completely fixed. Some people still load indefinitely upon clicking the Start button on the character selection screen.

•There is a map missing texture upon manually patching that doesn't go away in a full scan. Doesn't appear to affect anything in-game. [Screenshot]

•Upon a crash on disconnect from server, the game.bin process continues to run in the background. Any future attempts to launch a client are automatically closed after it passes the first splash image. This is only fixed by restarting the machine. [Screenshot]

    •̶S̶e̶a̶r̶c̶h̶ ̶f̶u̶n̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶A̶u̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶H̶o̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶ ̶l̶o̶n̶g̶e̶r̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶o̶w̶s̶ ̶s̶e̶a̶r̶c̶h̶ ̶q̶u̶e̶r̶i̶e̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶i̶n̶c̶l̶u̶d̶e̶ ̶s̶p̶a̶c̶e̶s̶ ̶(̶I̶E̶ ̶P̶l̶a̶y̶e̶r̶s̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶s̶e̶a̶r̶c̶h̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶"̶F̶o̶r̶t̶i̶f̶i̶c̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶"̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶"̶F̶o̶r̶t̶i̶f̶i̶c̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶S̶c̶r̶o̶l̶l̶"̶.̶ [This has been fixed.]

•In-game World Boss costume reward bags don't open upon clicking. Viewing its contents shows that they also award various Eidolon fragments and trophies that were not there previous to this patch. (This applies to the smaller WBs like Mordecai, Daphne, Banksy, and Mac, not the two Goat bosses in Blizzard Berg/Vulture's Vale.)

•Rabbit Ear Lucky Pack also has the same bug. (This pack is obtainable from the Moonlight Rabbit's Treasure quest.)[Screenshot]

•Achievement board scores don't update. [Screenshot]

•Non-Tradable items obtained from different sources (Loyalty Shop, naturally Non-Tradable, Adventure Encyclopedia) do not stack. This is problematic in Eidolon Prayer as it requires full stacks of materials, and in taking up unnecessary inventory space. Also applies to Revival Feathers, Megaphones, and Mysterious Armor Emblem/Eidolon Crests. [Screenshot #1] [Screenshot #2]

•There is a visual bug where unequipping and equipping gears makes your character portrait's eyes closed. Notably happens when one unequips gear to upgrade inlayed secret stones. Ticking and unticking Show Costume several times restores it. [Unconfirmed.]

•Wedding Gown costume (F) dress portion is transparent, and legs are visible. [Reported here.]

    Patch Notes, June 25th

    by GM Rheigah

    -----

    Hello everyone!

With today's maintenance, we'll be applying the latest patch to servers. Have a look below to see what's new.

    Content additions:

    • New Maps:

Starstruck Plateau & Silent Ice Field. You'll finally be able to continue the mainline quest and free these two regions from the forces of darkness.

Along with that, you'll also have 8 new Elite monsters to hunt down (4 on each map) as well as Eavesdrop & Hidden quests.

Last but not least, you'll also be able to discover new treasures in Archaeology and new Fish Kings in both of these new maps.

The Fish King in Starstruck Plateau is available on Wednesdays at 5:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM (server time).

The Fish King in Silent Ice Field is available on Fridays at 5:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM (server time).

    • New Dungeon:

In the Silent Ice Field lies the new dungeon: Frozenlea Plains. Fight your way accross dark, frosty corridors and ice giants to reach your ultimate nemesis: The Dark Knight.

Don't let your guard down though, as it is possible that the Eidolon Kusanagi will spawn in Hell Mode at the end of your run. Defeat her and you might get some Key Fragments!

    • News items & equipment:

Quite a few new items are now available in this new patch. This includes:

      - Lv. 70 Orange quality weapons which can now be crafted. You can learn the recipes for them from the NPC Analisa in Navea

      - New alchemy materials and elixirs are now available and can be crafted

      - New fishing equipment is also available thanks to the two new maps

    • New medals available:

Along with the two new maps, new medals and achievements have also been implemented in-game.

Here's a list of the medals that you should be able to unlock in this new patch:

      - Gold Elitist Medal [Currently bugged]**

      - Gold Angler Medal [Currently bugged]

      - Gold Boss Medal

      - Gold Oddities Medal [Currently bugged]**

      - Gold Semicentennial Medal

      - Gold Archaeology Medal

      - Gold Conversationalist Medal [Currently bugged]

**If you completed the Silver Medals AFTER the February patch you can obtain the Gold Medals.

    • New Feature - Recommended Events:

Now we know some of you may have already seen a glimpse of this functionnality a while back when it was added in-game (too) early. But now it's finally here!

First off, you'll notice that the login rewards have been moved. So now, when you want to redeem your daily login rewards, you'll have to press L and click on the 4th tab called "Recommended Events".

In addition to that, you will now have a list of Daily Events which you can complete to obtain Event Points. Everyday there will 5 random Events listed in the "Today's Recommended Events" tab which you can complete to get a maximum of 100 points.

Each of the Events will get you a total of 20 points if completed. These points will get you reward chests, which contain a few goodies such as Monster XP books and Dragon Points.

You can also check out the "Available Recommended Events" which contains a list of other activities you can complete if you're ever wondering how you can get crafting materials or even Hidden Quest Achievements.

    • New Eidolon:

Diao Chan is here! Beware of this alluring beauty, she might look harmless but she won't hesitate to unleash devastating attacks upon her enemies.

    • Loyalty Points:

The cap for loyalty points will be increased from 9 999 to 99 999

[Please note this has not been implemented yet, but it will be after the Hydra-Siren server merge goes through]

    - Localization issues: quite a few localization errors which we are already aware of. We are currently working on it to get it fixed.

We'll update this list as often as possible.

Please report any bug or discrepancy you find in the game directly here in this thread, but make sure no one already reported it.

    Patch Notes, May 14th

    by GM Rheigah

    -----

With this patch we've made a data backup and fixed some issues that were being caused by the character quarantine process that took place during last maintenance.

    • Guild Tabs & Friend list issue has been resolved (if you encounter any further issues, please do not hesitate to contact us)

Also, if you're playing on Hydra or Siren currently, please don't hesitate to share your thoughts and ideas for the new server's name on this thread

Since changing your sub-class is free from now on there's no need for this item. It has been replaced by 2000 Ruby Coins (Non-Tradable).

You might still find the reset scroll in your inventory but it's not usable any more. Make sure not to purchase this item at any cost, it's literally useless now.

EDIT: (This tab ^ has been removed!)

We'll update this list as often as possible.

Please report any bug or discrepancy you find in the game directly here in this thread, but make sure no one already reported it.
